Simply Superb. Cozy and comfortable. We started planning our next visit shortly after check-in. The Hostess, setting, and accommodations are all down to earth, peaceful and welcoming. Thank you, Sheri!! See you again soon!

Birthday Getaway

Had a great time in a very nice room in the Farmhouse. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning before we left Sheri is a great hostess and made us feel very welcome. Even though it snowed heavily after we arrived, we had a very nice time and really enjoyed our stay..

Fifteen minutes from Park City and the absolute Best you could ever want!!!

Harvey Kon 01/02/2017 15:26

This cute B and B situation just three turns and 15 straight minutes from park city with the best of everything. The innkeeper Sheri, as have other reviews stated, is so nice and friendly and accommodating. After skiing all day Saturday, we stopped at the market and got food to cook for dinner because I was so tired. Wine was at the liquor store next to the market. Other guests stopped in the living and dinning room, pulled out the dishes and had the best nite of apres skiing ever!!! We meet a women who happened to be a famous singer and was featured at the Sundance film festival that weekend. What is better than that. Apparently her agent knew the B and B and the innkeeper.

Quiet, beautiful, relaxing and affordable

My husband and I never been to a B and B before. We took a chance and we loved it. The Woodland Farmhouse is perfect in every way. Clean and spacious I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a perfect weekend. The farm is just beautiful. Breakfast was great tasting. The prices are affordable. We are going again.

Just What We Were Looking For

This is a charming B&B and has a truly welcoming innkeeper. We would happily go back in a second.

My sweetheart and I were backpacking in the High Uintas Wilderness (Amethyst Basin), which is an incredibly beautiful area. Then we took the 40 mile drive along the Utah highway 150 scenic byway., which is also quite an impressively beautiful route. A favorite splurge of ours after backpacking is to stay in a nice inn … and Woodland fit that bill quite well.

The location is just outside of Kamas, in ranching country. And, for some odd reason, Kamas (and its tinier neighbor, Samak) don’t have any hotels. You can drive 20 minutes north the Park City or 20 minutes south-ish to Heber City. This seems a bit strange, as highway 150 is such a beautiful route.

We left the backcountry a day earlier than we expected, but the nice folks at Woodland were gracious about accommodating us.

The inn is a series of house-like buildings, each with a few rooms. The main building also has the breakfast dining area and back porch. The back looks onto the owners farm, including small collection of pigs (two), goats (a few older ones and a couple of cute kids), and chickens.

Our room was in the building with an old-west-looking front, but the inside was completely modern and comfortable. It had a full kitchen, well stocked with amenities, so if you wanted to cook your own lunches or dinners, it would be no problem. The connecting living room area was comfortable with couches and a big TV.

The bedroom was quite nice, with a lodge pole wood frame king sized bed. Our only complaint is that we’re firm mattress fans and this mattress was quite soft. The bedroom also had an adjoining dressing room and closest. Made it quite nice to keep the suitcases out of the way.

The bathroom was comfortable with standard sink, toilet and shower.

Breakfast was simple but quite good. There was orange juice, fresh coffee and tea, then a excellent breakfast burrito. The flour tortillas were fresh cooked, filled with an excellently made scrambled egg, sitting on chopped lettuce, and topped with a fresh tomato salsa, sour cream, and a light touch of shredded cheese. The burritos were each made fresh as you sat down.

All in all, convenient location, nice food, comfortable room, lovely innkeeper, beautiful countryside, and reasonable price.
