Visit to Thekkady
Shaji Gon 30/08/2017 12:06My wife and me along with my wife's cousin's family visited Thekkady and stayed at Woods n Spice resort from 6th May to 7nth May 2017. It was a wonderful experience. The resort belongs to Sterling Holiday resorts Ltd.There is swimming pool which was well maintained.The over all ambiance is excellent.The rooms are well maintained.The main attraction in Thekkady is the KTDC boating.It is better to book boat tickets online earlier.You have to go by the buses hired by the KTDC since private vehicles are not allowed inside the Tiger Reserve.
A lovely relaxing stay
KalyaniChatterjeaon 21/08/2017 09:09We stayed at Woods and Spices resort for a week. It was one extremely relaxing stay. We had the room on the first floor, just above the reception. The wifi signal was the best there. The room was clean, spacious. But the lighting was really bad. But when we mentioned that at the reception, to our great surprise, they came and fitted an extra tube light in a matter of 10 minutes! The Restaurant is many steps away. I just had a knee surgery. So was not too comfortable to go down. The restaurant manager offered to send our food to the room, without charging us extra. Everyone, from the travel desk, to the reception, to the restaurant - was so very courteous and helpful that even though the food in the restaurant was nothing to talk about, we really liked our stay and can whole-heartedly recommend it to any one. The resort grounds are well maintained. Overall, it was a really lovely stay. Auto rates to the town centre is just a few Rupees (30 - 50 INR) and the resort calls them for you - so very convenient, if you don't want to walk down.

DrAshok23on 19/08/2017 13:15This is our second time stay at Woods and Spice of Sterling and this is one of the best resort situated very close to Periyar tiger reserve. From the check in to check out everything was excellent. Very much impressed with restaurant with the chef Mr.Ramar, F&B service manager mr.pratheesh. The best of all is Mr.Amal
He was giving best service to each and everyone. We started to feel this resort is our home. Surely we will visit again. Only one drawback is variety of indoor holiday activities.

Denesh Raghavan Mon 16/08/2017 13:56i stayed in this resort for 3 nights and 4 days.I loved my stay at this resort and would like to be there again in the future too.The people tried to do their best as soon as we asked for something.
The experience was made so memorable and thanks to the activities department for that.they tried to squeeze in maximum that they could do within the short stay.Mr.kumanan was always ready to help us, when ever we wanted something.Mr.manish got us all the tickets and planned the activities in such a way that we were fresh all day long and ready by the next morning.Mr.nelson gave us a great company when he accompanied us during one of the visits.
In the restaurant section Mr.yugal worked with a great zeal,was polite and got us all that we needed on time.
The experience could have been excellent if the non-veg menus had better choices.The veg section was fantastic though.
