What People are saying

Great location with good services

Rtary Lon 14/08/2017 14:27

The hotel is situated at the centre of the city. it is not far away from World Forum. The room is spacious and services are good. The name of Mariott Hotel has guaranteed the quality. The concierge is very helpful too.

Excellent stay at The Hague Marriott

My friend and I had a fantastic stay. We stayed in a nice Executive room on the 9th floor with a wonderful view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We hired bikes at the hotel and this was a great experience because we were close to the beach. On Saturday night we had a 3 course dinner in the Great Room. Service and food were excellent! Lots of choice at breakfast. Our stay in 1 word: Excellent!

Very pleasant stay, highly recommended, in between city centre and beach

Stayed just two nights at the Marriott The Hague (room 707) we are very happy with our choice. The hotel is located in a quiet area in between the city centre and the beach with easy access to tram 16 and 1 and bus 24, all within walking distance of about 300m. Staff are very friendly and very helpful, especially Mrs Riri at the front desk who was here for both check-in and check-out and shared very helpful info and advice on the city's highlights. Nice breakfast and overall very good experience. Definitely coming back whenever we are in Den Haag again!

Nice hotel but terrible wifi

WorkTraveler2000on 04/08/2017 18:01

I have stayed at this hotel several times before. The rooms are great and the location is very good. But I have become increasingly frustrated with the poor wifi at this hotel. The infrastructure for the wifi does not support wireless calling. Traveling from the US, wireless calling is an important feature. Also, most Marriott hotels offer different levels of wifi access (with the higher speeds free for platinum reward members). This hotel only has 1 speed and it is not very fast.

Breakfast was a disaster

JustynaMaon 02/08/2017 16:43

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hague Marriott hotel for my birthday weekend and our experience with the hotel was rather mediocre.

On the plus side, we really liked our Junior Suite, which we were upgraded to thanks to my bf’s Platinum membership, and we loved the nice, cosy executive lounge, where the lovely Jaap van Dostveen (I am not sure whether I got the name right) will make sure your glass is always full.
We were able to store our luggage at the hotel on our last day (they mistagged it though and were trying to convince me we stored one piece more than we did) and there was a tiny bday present waiting for me in the room which was a nice touch.

On the minus side, the hotel breakfast was an absolute disaster. It was crowded, messy and of a mediocre quality. No staff to serve water or coffee or even to reset the tables. Even though, theoretically speaking, there is a tiny little menu to choose a couple of options from, there is no one around to place an order with. So, basically, you are left with a messy buffet breakfast, self-service and hunting for clean cutlery yourself - take a look at the pictures attached. My advice would be to staff breakfasts more efficiently and to train the staff accordingly - after all, a smile can go a long way.

The location was ok, in between the city centre and the beach, but it will still take you around 25-30 minutes to get from the hotel to the train station with a tram.

There are bicycles available for rental at the hotel; you cannot reserve them in advance, though, but when we asked at the reception a day before we planned our bicycle trip we were reassured by one of the staff that there are always bicycles available. On the morning of the trip, however, there were no bicycles left so we had to go to a bicycle rental at the beach to get them and therefore lost some time but, luckily, we were able to return the bicycles at the hotel afterwards.

There is no sauna or a pool at the hotel, which, personally, was a clear minus point to us but it is not advertised so nothing to blame the hotel for really.

All in all, we had a pleasant stay in the Hague but we would have expected more from a Marriott hotel.
