Exhausted...

Vicki Hon 03/04/2017 13:38

Reasonable rates, quiet atmosphere & quaint surroundings. Slightly rundown & in need of some TLC but for the most part budget friendly. All was fine & good until it was time to go to bed... After driving all day we were exhausted. So after taking a hot shower we laid down on the bed just to find out it's as sold as a rock or a slab or poured concrete. We both tossed & turned all night & if it hadn't of been so cold we would have gone & slept in the truck. We both were more tired in the morning than we were the night before. There was no blanket on the bed just a sheet & a dark comforter. We would've stayed a another night or 2 but the bed was just way to uncomfortable.

romantic getaway for valentines day .

We took the tropical suit for a night away from well, everything.. lol.. The room was nice and warm and clean ... There was only one issue with the room and it was promptly taken care of. I read some reviews before going and noticed some very bad ones. One in particular pertaining to the Jacuzzi tub. Water problems and its color. I assume these rooms dont get used all the time. and there was a faint color to the water. Its from the hot water tank. Its probably on its way out . My wife and I being in the property maint and home building fields knew what it was and it didnt bother us. The tub works great none the less . When we turned the jets on there was a couple of flakes that came out of the jets. Its just scale from the internal pipes ... It was litterally just a very very little.. We drained it and refilled,.. no problem ... I think some people would consider this all highly unacceptable . These are the same people who would complain about having sex. .. lol.. You cant please everyone . There was a great tv , dvd player. The bed was comfortable. Just a heads up though. If you have the heat on so you are comfortable down stairs. When you get upstairs to where the bed is in the loft. Its like 100 degrees. So fair warning. Heat rises , thats all there is too it . Staff was great and friendly. Never had a chance to try the pub on site. All in all it was a great night out. cant wait to try some of the other suits.

TERRIBLE!

This was supposed to be a romantic relaxing weekend getaway. This was a terrible experience and we will never return to this place. It is outdated, dirty, and the jacuzzi tub was awful. We filled it and turned the jets on only to have the tub fill with dirt particles and what appeared to be previous peoples dead skin. What a way to ruin a romantic getaway. There was no curtain or shade on the window where the toilet was which in our room faced right out to the parking lot so we had to hang a towel on the window. The sheets had stains on them and were cotton uncomfortable sheets. I am not sure that anyone ever cleans these rooms. We complained in the morning as this was 10pm and no one answered our call. We were offered a $70 refund when we paid almost $300 for this horrible experience. I said no, and was given a $100 refund which still didn't make up for the awful experience and dirty feeling. We could have stayed at a way better facility for that price. This place is awful and really should not be in business they should be renting their rooms for $50 a night. They false advertise making the facility look much nicer and more clean that it is. These people don't deserve anyones business. Please do not give these people your money! Very disappointed and absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a really fantastic weekend.

Second Stay on Our 27th Anniversary

John Mon 05/12/2016 16:33

This was our second hotel we stayed at in New Hampshire on our 27th Anniversary. We booked our room and stayed in the Papa Hemingway suite, it was really a beautiful room. the grounds and property was very nice. We had a fantastic night, the Jacuzzi worked great, the fire place was spot on. The only thing we found to be a little off was, they had no breakfast or coffee. Coffee in the rooms you could make, but no extra creamer or sugar. Yes, it was pricey, $300.00 per night. They had a beer and wine lounge on the property. we went in to get ice for our room. We did have a great stay in a beautiful room. room was clean! so if anyone goes to this place, remember, the only thing you get in this hotel is a Pricey room, no extras.

We has great time!

We had the best time that we've had a long time at Wren's Nest! Great scenery! The rooms were so clean and very spacious! I stayed in the white mountain lodge and loved it! We visit there often and always request that room! We enjoyed the jacuzzi at night to a warm fire place. The desk clerk was very friendly and funny! It was nice to stay at an original hotel and not a chain! Very peaceful!
