What People are saying

We Still Love Wyndham Sedona! It is HOME!

JaneTucsonon 20/08/2017 00:45

My husband and I spent four glorious days this past week. We have only a four hour drive from Tucson and prefer this for a short getaway. We love being able to break up the time to do several trips, or give a few days to a guest.
The staff is so friendly, the resort grounds are kept so beautifully, the pool is clean and inviting, the hot tub is perfect and the rooms are lovely, and basically pretty quiet even if you have folks above you. Quiet hour is at 10 pm and everyone observes that.
We got the one bedroom deluxe which is a large apartment like unit, with a full kitchen, living room with a large tv, large bedroom with a smaller tv, a lovely bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Wow! The smaller unit, the bedroom suite is also very comfortable but we prefer the larger to feel like a resort, apartment feeling.
We have been coming up here since 2003, as it is our hiking mecca, even better than Tucson with the red rocks.

We had a problem with our DVD player the first night and Richard spent over an hour trying to get it started but no go, so he left a message with his supervisor for the next day.
Dale came and tried but it still didn't work. Ed come and he put a new player in and it worked! They all bent over backwards to fix it and solve the problem, and that has been the case in the other years if we have had problem. EVERYONE is so friendly!
We had asked for a first floor and it was ready when we checked in early at 2pm, which was so nice. We found out it was a handicapped which we didn't need but it was very open and more roomy that a regular unit, but still preferred the regular unit. I also need to remember to ask for a room with a view as our patio looked out on the parking lot, but we weren't in the room the much so it worked out well.

Everything was in working order, clean and spotless. The nice thing about Wyndham is you have laundry facilities right in your unit, with two packets of soap.

The only disappointment this time was that we didn't receive list of businesses and restaurants that give discounts to Wyndham guests and this is the first time it has ever happened. Nicole at Guest Services explained we needed to go to an update to receive one and we had by passed, since we had just been to Flagstaff in March and attended an update there. I feel this is so unfortunate and have expressed my disappointment in the survey we received. I am not sure if this comes from the Wyndham Headquarters or from Wyndham Resort themselves. We have been here enough to know which ones will give discounts with your key but feel sorry for newcomers to Sedona.
We still love Wyndham and will be returning again!

Booking flooded rooms, watch out!

Julio Hon 15/08/2017 04:20

My 1 bedroom suite had a leaky A/C unit that flooded the carpet, to begin with. We got maintenance to unclog the A/C pipes, but that didn't help. We had a maintenance fan running the whole stay, hoping to dry the carpet, which it didn't do. To make matters worse, my son stepped on the wet carpet and slipped on the adjacent tile.

The room comes with a fridge, a stove and a washer/dryer unit. We cooked and stuff, but the accident just killed the vibe.

Just a terrible room, terrible service, why do they book rooms that have flooded carpet and that cause accidents?

Great Staff

We had a nice three-night stay here in a one bedroom deluxe, roomy with a balcony. There is also a one bedroom suite that is not as large, small kitchenette and no balcony which we have had in the past. We enjoyed the deluxe unit because it gave us more of a resort feel. Swimming pool and hot tub are now open 24 hours and it is a beautiful place as you look up at the stars late at night. The front desk and service people all seem to be friendly and helpful. We even had a good experience with the 'parking pass' desk where the lady was not high pressuring us to attend the normally dreadful meeting.

Snagged a bargain .Most friendliest staff EVER

Memorial Day Getaway

Angelina Jon 05/07/2017 21:05

Booked a 2 bedroom suite during the memorial day weekend. Travelled with my brother and his family for a weekend getaway to Grand Canyon, The hotel was perfect for those travelling with kids. Ample dining space, laundry and kitchen in the room. the 2 bedroom was good for 8 people. The walls were a bit thin but not to a point that it would become bothersome.
Lots of activities for the kids, movie nights and activity center. Service was excellent, the lady at the counter gave us extra keys so, the kids can go to the activity center without borrowing our keys, they were a bit strict on the extended checkout but we understand, it was a busy season. This is a time share property, they will try to sell their property, but they were not pushy to a point that it becomes intrusive. Cookies, coffee and water are available at the lobby. The place is convenient, there is a grocery store ( I think it was Ralph's) and eateries just outside the entrance. View was excellent.
