Nice facility

Spent 5 nights while visiting family. Ordered the King Suite with disability access. Based on the website photos, had expected a walk-in shower. Not the case. WiFi worked well. My wife reported a variety on the breakfast bar. Major drawback is failure to monitor smoking. The area between the lobby doors and the outer doors reeked of smoke. Same was true outside. Easy access into and from the parking lot. AAA discount was applied. Very reasonable cost for the area.

Excellent Comfort Suites near Mt Vernon and DC

My family stayed at this Comfort Suites for one night on our way to visit Mt. Vernon. This is one of the nicest Choice hotels we have stayed in. It is practically adjacent to Potomac Mills shopping and about 25 miles from the capitol and 17 miles from George Washington's Mt. Vernon.

Check-in was quick and the lady who checked us in was very personable and friendly. This was a totally different decor from most Comfort Suites but in a good way. It was well designed and very attractive. The room we had was large and very clean.

Breakfast was typical Comfort Suites ( but fine) and although the hotel was very crowded, it was not loud.

The only negative was the horrible traffic we encountered while driving up Interstate 95, but that is normal for this area
This is a wonderful Choice Hotel and I highly recommend this establishment if you are heading towards Washington DC.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting sites in DC. I liked the location since it was far enough away from the traffic and congestion of DC, but the drive back to the hotel took a while. Not because of distance, but traffic congestion. Lots of restaurants close by. The hotel was great, and the staff attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was a bit cloudy for my liking.

Comfort Suites is Incredible!

My recent stay at Comfort Suites was incredible! My room was clean and comfortable. Each floor has an atrium style--there are plenty of cozy nooks to sit and talk. This hotel would offer great accommodations to large families or bus tours. It is also located near every restaurant you can think of and loads of shopping. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

An interesting weekend?

We stayed here for the weekend and did not have a good experience.
First check-in: there was only one clerk for check-in so we experienced a long line and a long wait for check-in. When we finally got to the desk, we advised the clerk we had already paid but she required our credit card for "incidentals".....!
Room keys did not work: We received our room key but when we tried the key, it did not work. Three key exchanges later, the key finally worked. Twice during our stay, we had to have our room keys reissued as they did not work.
Handicap room: Were were issued a handicapped room of which we did not request and asked for a different room or at least the type room we reserved. No other rooms were available.
Double charged for the room: We always check our bank account and found the "incidental" charge was us being charged again for the room we had already paid in advance for. We later advised the clerk we were charged twice for the room; her comment was that the second charge "should fall off" but that if it doesn't then we were to call the hotel and explain the problem.
Bottom line...we will not be staying here again and could not recommend the Comfort Suites near Potomac Mills since there are other hotels to select nearby.
