Very good
Else Mon 21/10/2015 17:16Sehr freundliches Personal. Sauberes Zimmer, täglich eine neue Flasche Wasser. Sehr zentral gelegen. Nach einer Sightseeing Tour kann man durch die Geschäfte spazieren.
Das Frühstück ist super.
Very friendly staff. Clean room, every day a new bottle of water. Very centrally located. After a sightseeing tour, you can walk through the shops.
The breakfast is great.
Zero guest service
Ben Yon 29/11/2014 04:18I recently stayed at the Zenec Hotel (Oct 23 to Oct 28, 2014), and it was an unpleasant experience:
1. The staff doesn't speak a single word of English; if you don't speak Chinese, you're toasted.
2. When I check in, the front desk said they only have me booked for 5 nights. Upon checking with the traveling agency, they discovered that I have 5 nights under one booking, and 1 night on the second booking. Why??? As such, they charged me two separate "deposits."
3. The front entrance is hard to find; the hotel shares the entrance with order office tenants.
4. Breakfast was included. On the first morning, the coffee was cold; I later found out that the hot plate was not plugged in. When I asked the served, he gave me a dirty look.. On the second day, there was no coffee; when I asked, the same guy told me that was not his job, and told me to ask the service staff. On the third day, there was coffee but no cups. I asked the manager, and he told me to use the water glass. When I insist, he gave me a espresso cup instead. Whow! I guess things are improving...
5. On the checkout day, they charge my credit card, but using a much lower currency exchange rate. When I pointed that out, the front desk told me that is not his/hotel's problem. If I have any problem, talk to my bank...
6. Also during checkout at 7:00 am, the front desk called house keeping, and the lady said the hotel is missing one face towel (4" x 4"). She asked me if I remember where have I left the missing face towel. I said to myself, is she serious? When I asked to speak to the hotel manager, she said he won't be in until 2:00 pm.
As I mentioned above, the staff does speak a single word of English, so we were communicating with sign/body language; by the way, I speak a little mandarin - better than zero mandarin.
In final analysis, I would not go back, nor recommend this place to my worst enemies...

Not quite 4 star....
KayaToastedon 02/10/2011 08:08Was with a tour group - Asa and this was the hotel they put us in. Was promised it would be China 4-star but by my personal standards, its a far cry from 5-star. I don't know how much this hotel cost a night and maybe it is good value relative to the price but all in all, it would be a hotel I would choose when I travel independently. The driveway was so narrow the smallish tour bus could not get in which meant walking through an unlit alleyway to get to the front of the hotel. The toilets was not very well maintained - dark water stains in the grout and silicon. The carpets were dirty and in need of a shampoo. The lifts and corridor a little worn. The bed was hard (as all China beds are) but white clean fine linen - which I appreciated.
Lots of little shops within spitting distance of the hotel but did not have much time to fully explore it.
OK
Fredosophyon 14/06/2011 07:12The only thing I liked about this hotel is that there is a taxi stand nearby. So you can easily go out.
The hotel is average and basic. The famous ‘Long Chao Shou' snack restaurant is nearby, which is a must-try for first-timer Chengdu visitors.
But I have to laud one concierge staff there. Once my colleague forgot her mobile charger in the room, and the man offered to wait for us when our car passed that place. That's very nice.
