Welcome surprise, top level hotel especially for an airport
Paul Won 28/12/2016 19:32Expecting typical humdrum airport hotel, but was very pleasantly surprised with a first class hotel nearly on the airport property. Only drawback was that the heat could not be moderated in the room, so I had to shut it off and open the window to let it come down to a normal temperature and then shut the window and it was fine.
Perfectly good Airport Hotel
chesterchandleron 05/10/2016 01:37I stayed one night this last week at the ZTG Grand Hotel which is located directly at the Hangzhou Airport. I had quick flight connections and did not want to have to make the journey into Hangzhou proper. I found my stay to be extremely satisfying and frankly don't understand many of the negative comments I see here. This is a typical Chinese 4-star hotel and I think that has to be understood. This is not the Ritz.
I called the hotel upon landing at the airport and a good English speaker directed me to the location for the free shuttle pick up which was waiting for me when I got there (upstairs from the arrival hall). My check-in went smoothly with a young lady who spoke fluent English. Yes it takes time to check-in, perhaps 15 minutes--the paperwork seems endless--but I experience that at every Chinese hotel. That is just their system. The hotel is large, relatively new and very clean. It has a couple of shops, gym, billiards area and two restaurants. I was ungraded to an Executive King--which was huge with full sitting area, good free wifi and great AC. AS noted the only English tv is CCTV 's English channel. All the necessary stuff is provided in the bathroom. Soon after check-in a tea service with fruit was delivered to the room. I went to the 9th floor western food restaurant for dinner--they have menu in English and the waitress spoke some English also. Nothing fancy but my burger and beers were adequate and hit the spot after a long flight. At check-in they asked what time for a wake-up call. As I had to leave early I did not get to see the breakfast buffet. Check out went smoothly--again it is China so it takes some time but nothing unusual. The shuttle leaves every 15 minutes and drops you right at the international terminal--which is two minutes away. So I found the ZTG to be a great place to stay if you need to be near the airport in Hangzhou. Clean, nice rooms, service was fine, convenient, relatively reasonable. I will stay there again if I need to be near Hangzhou airport.

Hotel needs certain renovation, upgrade and proper maintenance.
Room was clean, comfortable and good equipped.
Wi-Fi - almost dead.
Breakfast - no limits for improvement...

hongkongmui888on 30/07/2016 09:51Check-in and check-out very poor considering there is general traffic throughout the day at an airport hotel. There were 4-5 people waiting on both occasions and only one person manning the front desk.
Food overall is nothing fancy - I had dinner and breakfast there - and covering just the bare essentials.
Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean. Amenities overall ok, although the door is not well insulated and noise from the corridor is very disturbing, especially late night and very early morning
Works out just fine for eraly morning flights
EasyTravel33on 13/07/2016 09:48I am rating this as average given the lack of little extra things that tend to differentiate a good hotel from a very good hotel, but it would really be in between the 3 and 4 points to be objective.
The rooms are fine and comfortable, although you will need to forget about CNN or the BBC on the TV set, but the WIFI seemed to be working just fine. There are a couple of restaurants with good food on the 1st and 9th floor, and a decent breakfast included in the room price.
The lobby looks good day time, but get to be a little dark in the evening and for some reason the lobby bar is not part of the hotel so you will be charged separately.
Prices range from 600 to 750 CNY (for an upgrade), so quite reasonable. The airport bus will take you to the international terminal in 5 minutes, so you really cannot find better than that.
