Wow - Much Better Than I Hoped!
Jim Ron 12/11/2017 21:48Most Four Points you stay in are quite plain - nothing to write a review about, clean, but not amazing. This one was outstanding. Great location for touring the region. Great location for taxi into the city center for the night life. Great bar and restaurant on premises. Just about everything about this hotel was ... perfect. Rooms are big by European standards. Staff was a little overwhelmed at times... service could have been better in the hotel and in the bar. All in all, though, this hotel exceeded my expectation and made for a great vacation with family.
Poor relative to expectations
PacificDianaon 28/10/2017 07:08Well - this is a hangar of a hotel in a massive industrial area. And is definitely for business travellers. And it is a bit odd. The rooms are massive but have few sockets and tiny bed side cabinets. It somehow does not feel like anyone has tried out the rooms. The breakfast is expensive at 15 euros. There were several glitches with swipe cards to rooms not working and supplies not replenished.There is a big Spar supermarket down the road which is useful for supplies. We had an upgrade for 24 euros to a suite. A fridge and kettle in the room, but I think they are in all the rooms. On the plus side it is clean and the omissions were rectified quickly, and it is quiet in the rooms. Getting to town is fairly easy on 10A bus from outside Spar - very frequent service. But on the down-side you do have to go into town for a nice place to eat. The hotel restaurant served really bland and expensive food - not recommended - and don't ask for tap water to drink as it is 'policy' not to give it to diners.

Base for touring the Dolomites
mk72759on 16/10/2017 03:05While the hotel is not is the town center of Bolzano, our primary purpose for staying here was to have a base from driving around the Dolomite mountains. As it is convenient to the main highways, the location was great for our needs.
The hotel appears to be a new property. We opted for an upgraded room, which was very spacious. The is a large grocery market just a short distance as well.
Bolzano is a lovely town, and was only a 10 -15 minute drive from the hotel park to the town center.
