A wonderful stay

It is conveniently situated and easily reachable from the airport (takes about 10 minutes by car) and it takes 15 minutes to get to central Bologna. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is a chapter apart and it definitely catered to every taste and need. It offered a huge variety and it is definitely a winning point of this hotel.
Excellent value for money
raalphyon 02/11/2017 21:44Nice, clean hotel with private parking and polite staff and comfort rooms. Instead of just regular breakfast buffet with lots of meat products I was suprised with nice choice of food (vegetarian breakfast, soia milk, gluten free cookies, fresh orange juice...).Breakfast was tasty and nice. Hotel is really close to the Bologna fiera and across hotel is big shopping center. Few restaurants are in the near of the hotel. Room temperature is not centrally controled and You can controll temperature as You wish. Clean and nice bathroom. WiFi in the room worked well and rooms are equipped with kettle and pack of instant coffee and tee gratis. Everything was great and extra credit for being dog friendly hotel:)
Nightmare
Sazzleg81on 01/11/2017 11:56Firstly the hotel is quite far out from centre which was fine as we knew this when booking but the main bus 35 takes the best part of half and hour to get down and stops around 8pm. The 21b is available later from Stazione Centrale. So the hotel was dirty. The shower was scummy and red, the sink area had not been cleaned. The 'Double bed' was two singles pushed together. Not comfy for a week. It was also a smoking room. My partner has asthma and this isn't good for his breathing. The hotel agreed to move us room the following day. It was a bit cleaner and a non smoking room but the air conditioning didn't work. We asked 3 times for this to be sorted as it genuinely was very stuffy and hot even at this time of year. It was never sorted. The buffet breakfast was so so. The biggest problem was that the hotel charged my debit card for the hotel booking (made through Expedia) when I specifically told them to use my credit card and I am now trying to battle to get this transaction refunded and the payment made in credit card but this is proving a nightmare. I have clocked up £15 phone calls and I am no further forward. I would pay the small extra to stay closer to town as the cost of transport back and forward and the quality of the hotel does not make it worthwhile. Very disappointing!
Very good value
depiccuson 01/11/2017 06:05This Holiday was very fairly priced, and had good meals and a friendly staff. I enjoyed the help I was offered at the front desk. I was happy to find help in going to the cooking class I was taking in the old part of town. I was advised to take a taxi, as it was in the controlled older section near the university and could have produced a photo ticket for being there in my rental car. This saved me from a troublesome fine and I could imbibe the wine we shared at the cooking class with no fear of driving under the influence.
