A friendly place to stay,nice rooms,good breakfast and most importantly great staff.Handy for Leeds and York easy parking and a carvery near by.What more could you want.Once again I want to stress the really good staff.

Although we had booked a normal room for some reason we were put in a disabled room. The bed was very soft and not very comfortable for us, although not the kingsize that larger HIE usually have. . The bathroom had a wet room which when you showered covered the floor in water. Normally Holiday Inn Express have a Separate shower/wc and I believe all other rooms had those. The breakfast is included in the price and very good value for money. Next door is a Toby Inn which we did not eat in but again is good value for money. This hotel is not one of the most modern we have stayed in with Holiday Inn Express so would not go to this one again.

wonderful stay! One of my favourite Holiday Inn Express when I am travelling up and down the country. The quality is so good that there is no need to stay at the proper Holiday Inn hotels. Nice location near Leeds/York - wonderful friendly staff - and a superb free breakfast........what more could you want!

First of all rating wise - I rated the rooms a 4* out of 5 due to the fact the rooms are not EXPECTED to be 5* boutique / luxury. If a "luxury / boutique standard" room is what you want don't be tight, expect the world and then review and pull to bits something that is quite clearly not priced at that level (i write this having looked at some of the ignorant reviews already - annoys me big time). They are designed to do a job and that is exactly what they do at an extremely high level. I was staying for Business and therefore this review will be based on a one night business stay. They are very clean, spacious and the bed is brilliant. The bathroom is bigger than most at this price point and in my opinion of a higher standard than some "more expensive" chains. Great work space, power points and storage / hanging space.
The staff are incredible and make this hotel of a 5* plus standard. Atlanta checked me in and she was the most helpful, enthusiastic and friendly receptionist i have ever came across.
David in the bar area was of the same high standard and Shekielle (also on the reception deck) couldn't have done enough when she was serving me.
Holiday Inn Express - i have stayed at cheaper hotels in Leeds with more amenities and supposedly of a "higher star rating"....but a hotels staff are what makes a hotel worth remembering and your staff at this Hotel are an absolute credit to your brand and the only reason I will book with your brand before going anywhere else in the future.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay ..staff are amazing and so friendly especially the front desk staff who made us feel right at home ....the eat all you can breakfast was great and free coffee and tea was a extra bonus
