After a long weekend in Sedona,we stayed at Royal Palms to see family before flying out the next day. The grounds are exquisite, as are the staff. Room was nice and we had a balcony right next to an intimate courtyard with a fireplace and two firepits, each with seating, I caught up with my family outside in a beautiful setting after having an excellent meal at T. Cooks. What makes this place specials (other than the above mentioned is the history - which any staff member is more than willing to share. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful property and we’ve used the Royal Palms a number of times in the past, but this last round of meetings could have been a lot better. First let me say the restaurant and its staff are excellent and I highly recommend dining there.
The reception desk and concierge was horrible. There under staffed in both positions and for a high-end resort there’s no excuse. We wanted to rent a car and make dinner reservations, but the front desk clerk said the concierge wasn’t there and gave us a list of restaurants. The bottom line is we were on our own and making a reservation for a Saturday night was impossible. There’s more but I don’t have the time to go into more details. We spent $37,000 for my meetings and expected a lot more for the money.
They certainly don’t believe in over delivering! I forgot, but isn’t the Phoenician down the street?

Great staycation experience enjoying the spa, pool, lounge, and property to celebrate a special birthday. The staff at the Alvadora Spa made us feel welcome and the couples massage was excellent. Grabbing a dessert and night cap at Mix Up while listening to live music was the perfect way to finish up the day.

The Royal Palms is a beautiful place to spend a few days for a long weekend. We arrived on a Friday morning. Under the AMEX FHR program, early check-in is a perk, if available. On this day there were no rooms ready, so Lucy (very welcoming agent at the front desk) offered us our complimentary glasses of champagne and suggested that we go to the spa, where our bags could be placed in lockers, and we might want to change and enjoy the spa and pool until the room was ready. GREAT IDEA. The spa is small but not cramped. Steam room and Jacuzzi were just what we needed after the flight, and then we found a couple of chairs and sat at the pool and outdoor hot tub enjoying the sun. When the room was ready, Lucy made sure to offer another couple of glasses of champagne for the inconvenience.
The room was very spacious, clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate breakfast at T. Cooks on Saturday and Sunday, and the food and service were very good. At the Mix it Up bar on Saturday night, we sat outside under the stars and had very good apps (Kobe sliders) and well-made G&T.
Both days spent at the pool/spa area we were always greeted and served with a smile; and every staff person at the place was friendly and service oriented.
The grounds were impeccably kept - large palms, flowering bushes and climbing vines, perfectly green grass. The paths to the rooms and all around the place have little nooks and sitting areas that are quiet and peaceful. Like a meditative maze of plants, iron work, fountains and benches/chairs.
We will definitely be returning to Royal Palms.

I travelled here with my mom for a girl's trip. I loved exploring the hotel and sitting by he pool with a drink. The whole place is truly luxurious and the staff take such good care of their guests. The spa is fabulous, the yoga is divine, and the view of Camelback mountain is really something special. I wasn't blown away at T Cook's, however-- could be because I'm vegetarian and I found the food options limited. Had a great stay!
