We had a very nice time at Shangrila. The peaceful serene surroundings, and the beautiful majorda beach at walking distance are the highlights of this place. It was a pleasant surprise that a hotel at this price (cheapest prices in whole of Goa) we got a good room and nice stay, specially for couple and family. South Goa is best for family and couples and this hotel best for ppl who don't want to spend a fortune for a meaningful holiday. I saw some reviews about unprofessional behavior by staff here. But I found the guys pretty well behaved and decent. Guess it's how you treat others that matters here. Overall great Goa holiday. Viva Goa.
PS: This is just hotel and not a resort. It has a restaurant downstairs but most probably will be closed during off season. No swimming pools or other things. Go swim in the beach no...

Stayed there in Oct 2016 for 3 days and it was a pleasant stay. The check-in was smooth and didnt have any issues with it. Hotel is at a walkable distance of 800 meters from the beach..The room was airconditioned, clean and had a nice small balcony. It had hot water in the morning though didnt check for hot water at night . The restaurant was closed for renovation hence breakfast had to be taken elsewhere. There is a good restaurant called Pentagon at a walking distance of 2 mins where you can have lunch and dinner. There are shops nearby where you can buy grocery items, garments, etc. The staff is helpful and they helped me out with my local travel arrangements as well.Overall its great value for money place for the location.

Very good location, near to beach, clean and good services. Some problems like - not many cafe near, not many ATM and bike rent. So the costs of these are slightly higher than other areas. Overall, we can say - good hotel.

One of the best in South goa
Visiting majorda after quite a few years , used to often stay at Shangri-la in 2006 07 , visited again in 2016 n still looks the same except a few interior renovation . Due to monsoon the restaurants closed but great foods available at Pentagon , which is just a few steps away . Good choice of food , beverages and alcohol . If one wants a quite time to relax in goa do visit Shangri-la at majorda n enjoy the peaceful surrounding s and true Goan tranquility

Initially on our trip to Goa we had booked the hotel for 2 days.when I tried to contact the management for the confirmation there was no response.Finally we kept only one booking and cancelled the other one.
We were trying to talk to any person till we reached the hotel.once we reached the hotel informed the same thing at the reception the response we got "If you are not sure why did you do the booking".
this is the first glimpse of customer service we received from them.We just decided to spent the night and left the hotel early morning itself.
Even we did our break fast outside and just went to the hotel for a shower and check out
