Such a beautiful place,high on a peak with magnificent outlook, gardens and pool. Lovely restaurant with delicious food and particularly loved the tea/coffee freshly made in the little cafe available at any time. Loved also the afternnoon guided walk through surrounding areas-very good. We were there for Diwali which was such fun to hear all the celebrations from the village and fireworks.

The original picture deceived the actual place which was much nicer in reality. The accommodation was very generous and comfortable. The pool was nice but a bit cold. We did a trek beside the residence which was a nice walk through the forest. The food is provided as a set menu but is really good and tasty some of the best we have had and more towards a European palate meaning it was not too spicy but still very flavoursome.
A more extensive trek was undertaken near nearby Munnar. We scaled a peak of some 20000metre high but we probably walked the last 5Km or so. It was very exhilarating and enjoyable.
All in all I would recommend this place as a good place to stop and stay. Very satisfactory indeed.
The WiFi is pretty good here especially at reception the library and poolside but a bit more intermittent in the bedroom. But it doesn't advertise to provide such a service so one can't complain

Munnar is a must do destination in Kerala, worth the drive and you’ll share your joy with local and international tourists - hiking to the top of a tea plantation and seeing the mist lift to reveal the mountains was one of the highlights of our Kerala trip. Don’t dismiss the Tea Museum - I learnt a lot and knowing how much work goes into your daily drink is thought provoking ....
The Windermere is a spice plantation farm and what you get is perfect hospitality from Simon and his small team, in a peaceful and simple environment. The food is outstanding and don’t miss out walking through the plantation.

The Windermere is a fantastic location set within the tea plantations of Munnar. It's hill top location offers fantastic views although we suffered a fair bit of cloud and mist. They run a daily guided walk through the local forest which a must do, very informative and fun way to find out more about the local area. The rooms were basic as expected from a retreat but very spacious and clean.
The food in the restaurant was fantastic with very helpful and friendly staff who had a knack of knowing what you wanted before you do.
Well worth a stay for a night or two.

We were six senior citizens and stayed for two nights in this amazingly hospitable resort with good food and great service would highly recommend it for a nice quite vacation.
The owner was very helpful and informative regarding the area and surroundings.
All in all we would highly recommend it.
