Eat There or Nowhere

It is - with all the respect to other very good restaurants in Pescara - the best. Located in a pedestrian area, a small winding alley, you should go there and sit outside. Chef Alfonso has won a famous Italian TV show cooking award - not without a reason. For us it started with a recommendation of our local Hotel receptionist and now we go there for the fourth year in a row - always the first and last evening of our vacation at our Italian part of the family near Pescara.
Special recommendation goes out to the Arrosticcini (small grilled piked lamb for 1€/each) and the 'ice desert' (I forgot the name), freshly made at your table by Chef Alfonso himself.
Also the local wine (house wine) is outstandingly good (red or white, doesn't matter).
Excellent restaurant

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to, excellent food with excellent service. The chef has won the very important competition in Italy it's called "prova del cuoco". He is really the best and you can ask for anything and he
Will make if it's possible! He is number one!
So-and-so experience

Even though this restaurant has the potential to be very romantic, you get the impression that you are not really welcome.
Our visit started out good with a fantastic antipasti but was followed by a barely average main course. Compared to other restaurants in the area, this is a quite pricey alternative which got our hopes up. Even so, the food was quite tasteless and the service was half-hearted.
We are not returning to this restaurant and would not recommend it.
Excellent food in old Pescara

Pescara may be unlovely (it was bombed heavily in WWII), but it is an amiable place full of bicycle riders and sleepy Adriatic charm--good as an overnight stop on the way to the sights of Abruzzo and Molise. A corner of the old town survives as a couple of atmospheric little streets lined with low stuccoed buildings. And on one of them, Corso Manthone, we found this excellent restaurant quite late on a sultry summer night. The tagliata con rucola, ravioli with ricotta di bufala and an aubergine sauce, and fresh salads here were exquisite: real attention is paid to the quality of ingredients, cooking and presentation. The wait staff and owner were initially friendly, then strangely deadpan, which had a slight dampening effect. But if you are staying in Pescara and looking for a wonderful meal, come here.
Excellent food, interesting surrounding

This restaurant is in a shopping area near the harbor. The streets have been blocked from traffic, making it a much more pedestrian friendly area with many interesting shops, restaurants, clubs and bars. We were seat outside in front of the restaurant, as were most patrons. We had a wonderful plate of cheeses as a appetizer, and the some pasta and steak. All were delicious, well cooked and satisfying. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The only negative to the experience was the stream of street vendors, which the staff would shoo away as soon as they were noticed. I do not consider this a mark against the restaurant, just a condition of the shopping area. All in all a wonderful evening.
