NixWellTravelledon 12/10/2017 16:47But front desk and staff not able to cope with electricity and water issues. Service is friendly but chaotic or the people are not there. I would say some strong on-sight management would make the world of difference.

Nat Kon 16/09/2017 16:17You will either be thrilled to hang out with joburg hipsters or you will not like this place. I thought it was great. The collections of art in the hallways and public spaces are wonderful, there is a great community of people who spend time in and around the hotel, and the Sunday night rooftop party is not to be missed if you like scenes and loud music. That said, this is not a place for peace and quiet. There are great restaurants in the neighborhood, but things get busy!
Spacious apartment in exciting and vibrant social area

We had a tasty dinner at the Little Ethiopia Restaurant, right outside the entrance of the hotel, after walking aroung the block, struggling to decide where to eat. The struggle of too many great options!
The hotels corridors are filled with unusual & attractive art pieces. The trip to our room was an adventure on its own.
The apartments were surprisingly spacious. The bed felf like heaven. The sheets were soft and clean. The blanket/throw did not smell clean (only criticism)
The showers are big enough for 6 people... LOL!
Basically, we loved the rooms and we are definitely going back for our Jo'burg Nite Out dates.
Highly recommended!

nanklesariaon 18/04/2017 07:40Careful while visiting this hotel. Theyve listed it in many places but the authenticity of the listing is difficult to confirm. Plus the prices are high!
Instead try AirBnbs in the same Main Street Life building. They are cheaper, well stocked and you have the advantage of the same location.

Marsea Mon 08/03/2017 05:12Hotel has apparently been closed for a month and they didn't have the decency to inform us in advance of our arrival. We were put up in a different hotel, Hallmark House, which is very new and very nice, but it's outside of the Maboneng District which was where we had decided to stay after much research.
