What People are saying
Fantastic

What a wonderful historic house! I was constantly trying to imagine the lives of the people that once lived here. The owners have decorated the place beautifully and it was one of the CLEANEST B&Bs I've ever been in. Not a speck of dust anywhere.
We stayed in the Primitive Place room, which was larger than the pictures showed. There is a nice comfy seating area and the sheets on the bed were so soft. Lots of storage space and great closet / shelving space for an old home. The bathroom was very updated - but I will warn that the tub and shower surfaces are extremely slippery. Be very careful!
Breakfasts were great with fresh fruit, yogurt and toppings, breads and muffins, coffee and juice, and a hot entree. Keurig coffee, ice, filtered water and snacks available all day long.
Two things I will mention: One -- the B&B is on a busy main street so you will hear a lot of traffic noise if you are in the Primitive Place room. I had earplugs for sleeping so I didn't care. Two -- this is a "self check-in" kind of place with little interaction with the owners. This is not a complaint, but if you are looking for more of that kind of interaction, you probably won't find it here. Neither of these things prevented me from rating this as a 5 star establishment. The food, comfort, cleanliness, decor, and historic nature of this house earn a 5 star rating.
Excellent

One of the best B&Bs I've stayed at. The room and inn were tastefully decorated.
I found our room (garden view room) to be spacious and very quiet. I didn't hear much of the traffic nor the other guests. Sheets & bed were very comfortable.
They thought of everything to make our stay great: fridge in room, snacks, wine glasses & bottle openers, ironing board, hair dryer, ice maker downstairs.
They have a fire table as well.
Breakfast was large and fresh.
15 min to shady maple. 45 minutes to hershey. 30 minutes to Lancaster.
Highly recommend staying here.

The 1777 Americana Inn Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place for a peaceful retreat. My husband and I were just in town for the night, but that was long enough for us to appreciate the hospitality of innkeepers Denise and Bob. Check-in was a breeze---no lines, no waiting. We were greeted by Denise and were in our room within five minutes after arriving. Our "Garden View" room was spotless. It, along with the rest of the property, was very thoughtfully decorated. From the beautiful hardwood floors to the antique books on the fireplace mantel, each detail added to the historic inn's character. The room was comfortable and bright. Breakfast was delicious! In addition to being served a piping hot homemade Caramel Apple French Toast Cobbler, we could help ourselves to fresh fruit, yogurt, toppings, and several baked goods. There was also a nice selection of coffee, tea, and juice. My only regret is that my husband and I could not stay for longer!
Everything We Expected!

Beautiful property. We love historic building. Room was clean and nicely decorated. The shower was a bit small but being an historic building, the bathroom obviously had been added a later date.
The innkeepers, Bob and Denise were
gracious host and hostess. Denise prepared a wonderful breakfast both mornings.....scrumptious!!
Quiet sitting room directly across from breakfast room. There's even unique chess characters and board if you're interested in a challenging game.
Definitely recommend!
