I don’t typically write reviews, But my stay at the 1898 Waverly Inn was so top-notch I️ felt that it was absolutely warranted. From ensuring that my husband’s birthday was well celebrated (they helped me hang a birthday banner in our room), to a hard-working staff that went over and beyond during breakfast, to owners who to take extreme pride in ensuring that their guests are not only treated like family and comfortable during the entire stay- my husband and I would rate our experience as 10 star! The inn was spotless and cozy and we will definitely be back. I️ did not get a chance to meet Tracey, one of the owners, but Mike was a pure delight and makes this place so special. Thanks for making our one night stay awesome! We will be back!

Mom and I stayed here and was in the front corner room "Spring Beauty". Bed was super comfortable, room was clean, nice TV, bathroom was rather small but that's OK for one night. We enjoyed the wine and cheese on the front porch with other guests. The only thing was the road noise. Very busy street in front of the Inn, and there was a Friday night football game at the high school nearby which was very loud. Otherwise, once everything settled down, we got a good nights sleep. Oh, and breakfast the next morning was wonderful ! I liked that we had the option of choosing what we wanted for breakfast, another Inn I've stayed at fix only one thing and that's it. We both ordered scrambled eggs, grits, turkey bacon and toast. Hit the spot and got our day started off right !

Charity and I spent our first night as married couple at the Waverly Inn. Mike and Tracey made our visit so special by paying special attention to our night. The Magnolia Suite offered wonderful privacy and the staff did such a wonderful job with our morning after breakfast with our family. We hope to return for our 1 Year Anniversary!

We stayed at Waverly on Sat Oct 21,2017.The owners should absolutely be ashamed to rent a room for$259.00 that has a mattress so lumpy we could see the lumps when we pulled the covers down!!!We brought our own pillows.The bed was so lumpy the pillows would not lay flat.That is a disgrace!The room is so small there was only one nightstand.The tv did not work.It was a 15 inch tv.The cars came by constantly and had the lights going in our window.The blinds did not cover the windows!The curtains were sheer.That kept us up with lights constantly coming in the window.The bathroom has no vanity.The comforter and shams looked dirty.They had food sitting out in the dining area with a PRICE to pay for any snack!If you wanted bottled water from Fridge you had to pay,Otherwise take a paper cup and get water.The tv in their sitting room was ancient and did not have a good picture at all.The owners were not there.In the P M We saw someone sitting at the computer in a office,It was a man and he didn't bother to speak.The Inn is beautiful on the outside.There is NO EXCUSE for these people to have a mattress with lumps like this.We will never return.Very disappointing indeed!

Picked this B&B online and wasn't disappointed. It is a well maintained inn, lovely host and hostess and I place to which I'd return when again breaking a trip to the SC beaches. Next time I'd chose a larger room but the room we had was fine. This inn is within walking distance (we went about 5 blocks) to many restaurants and you have many shops to window shop on the way even if they are closed. The breakfast was delightful as well.
