I stayed at this place twice in Jul 2017. During my first stay, my room was nice and spacious, however I was allocated a smaller room at the second time. The rooms are not brand new, however it was handy to have a kitchen for use. It is hard if you are alone and have a heavy bag, as you have to go through a few stairs to get to the rooms. The location is very good as it is very close to supermarkets, the train station, a few restaurants and it is not a busy touristy area of London.

Negative points:
The room smells bad. It was quite run down with dirt on the window and oil stain running down the side of the toilet door. The place was very badly maintain with rundown furnitures. The TV was so small and not much channels to watch. The safe did not work as all! In addtion, they never change the bed sheets for the 5 days that we were there. We were quite shocked when we first check in but the hotel price is so cheap. So I guess you get what you pay for. But the pubic hair I saw on the "clean" towels they provided was the final call for me to swear never to stay there again.
good points:
The check in and check out was very fast. The house keeping helped us washed the dishes. The place was relatively quiet and we had a nice view in our room. They are many shops and eatery around this place

First of all when we got to the address we had been given, it was just a door and no way to enter!! After phoning for confirmation that we where in the right place we where told to walk back up the road to where we had just came from to go to 272 west end lane to pick up our keys to then have to drag our suitcases etc back to 198 west end lane. The receptionist was not very helpful. We where placed on the 3rd floor 3 flights of stairs and quite steep ones at that. A lot to go up with luggage. Once in the room we found it to be very small, we couldn't face the chairs the right way for the dining table and open the room door. it was of standard up keep a little ran down and not very well cleaned, we found hairs in the shower. The bed was rock hard and I think it was a good job we where very tired every night or it would of been hard to sleep. Stains on the ceilings and carpets. The view from the window was lovely and west end lane was buzzing with life all the time. Some very nice places to eat and have coffee. 5 minutes walk from the Tube and bus stop right outside the front door to hotel. Night time was very noisy and you can hear near enough everything from everyone else's rooms especially floors above!! We will not be staying here again but I would stay on west end lane again.

2nd or 3rd visit here. It's OK and well priced. Decent room with a kitchen in a cupboard - no oven but microwave, hob and fridge with kettle and iron. Great location 2 minutes walk from West Hampstead station which is 7 minutes into St Pancras International. Good free WiFi.
Check in is at the office 5 minutes walk up the road.
I will use this place again

We stayed here for 1 night recently whilst visiting London. The good things about these apartments are that our room was clean, the furnishings are modern, it's less than 5mins walk to West Hampstead Thameslink/Overground/Underground (Jubilee Line) stations, all the staff who we came across were friendly and, above all, it was great value for London.
As others have commented, it's very close to Sainsbury's Local and Tesco Extra and there's a selection of pubs and restaurants nearby being on the main street in West Hampstead.
The only downsides were that the room was a bit tired in the sense that the carpet was a bit threadbare and bathroom door/furnishings were looking a bit worn, and also as we had a front facing room it was a bit noisy at times.
Overall, it was great value accommodation which I'll consider using again when I'm next in London.
