Arrived late at night but welcomed courteously. Shown to room, which was in a separate building, and found it to be spacious, clean and well appointed. Plentiful towels and toiletries. Lovely shower! Comfortable bed. Noisy outside, but this is central London. Some banging when other occupants returned to their rooms, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Within walking distance to Paddington train. Close to restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful, decent morning breakfast. Would highly recommend. Rooms were clean and well kept. The facility had a lot of charm.

Have stayed here again twice recently, a great hotel, nice clean rooms, lovely staff, and an excellent location. I have booked to stay here twice again in the near future, which speaks volumes. Always seem to get a decent price for a room, good location if you get a room facing the rear of the property.... nice and quite. Would definitely recommend.

stayed 2 nights, perfect location close to Paddington train and tube station, restaurants and shops close by. Hyde park walking distance, rooms clean and tidy, staff helpful and friendly, breakfast was good. would stay again.

(+) the location, the location, the location. minutes away from Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations. my main reason for booking was the proximity to Paddington station as i needed to board the Heathrow express, didn't disappoint. Also 10minutes walk to nearby Bayswater, Queensway station and Hyde Park. Breakfast was okay with pastries, ham, yoghurt and juices, coffee tea etc. Would be better with something hot (eg. scrambled eggs). Room was tiny, equipped with air-conditoner (perfect for hot summer days!) but just enough space to put my luggage. Spotless room, comfortable beds, great shower, good wifi. Room was right next to main road, but surprisingly quiet. No trouble sleeping at all.
(-) Wish the hotel had an elevator. Lucky our room was located on the first floor and we have no mobility issue, can't imagine staying on the upper floor.. luggage would be nightmare. Our luggage was huge and heavy so we have hard time carrying them up the tiny and narrow staircase. I also find it odd with the need to show my credit card upon check-in (been to many places, this is a first), they said they needed to make sure that i have booked the room using my own card (i mean, i might've used my family member's card if mine doesn't work.. so what happens then?). The safety box in the room doesn't work, or more like no instructions to use so we couldn't figure out how to function it. You will also hear noises whenever people upstairs walk.. that squeaky sound an old floor makes, quite annoying.
