Just had 2 nights at the 3 Explorers motel and it was great. The local advice given and recommendations by the owner were all spot on. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A nice touch was the air conditioning on when we arrived. The location is good with a 300 metre walk to Echo Point and a 5 minute drive to town and Scenic World. Highly recommend the motel.

We booked late and this was one of the only places we could get in too. For location and price it was great value. Advertising for other places close by looked better, but on arrival, we had the pick of the bunch. It was clean, fresh but a little dated. However, totally worth it for a family visit to the three sisters which were great to see. Definitely glad we stayed here and not at some of the other dodgy places we saw close by.

Lovely weekend stay for family of five. Very friendly and helpful manager and clean, warm, cosy and well appointed family suite. Wonderful position close to Echo point and all the wonderful bushwalks on offer. Did the whole Scenic world experience via the walk from the floor of the 3 Sisters which meant we didn't need the car as it is an easy walk back to motel from Scenic World. Had lovely hot breakfast in room both mornings and motel is also across the road from the delicious Chocolate Shop.

Just returned from our second year staying at 3 Explorers doing some winter walking and taking in the Mountain atmosphere. The motel is clean, comfortable, warm, functional, daily servicing of our room and reasonably priced. It's located close to the Three Sisters and the walks that start from there (we did the Prince Henry, Leura Cascades, Federal Pass, Furber Steps round walk without needing to drive). As I'm pretty familiar with the Mtns, I didn't need any tourist info but noticed the manager helping another group with info. There are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance and the Blue Mtns Chocolate Shop just across the road. It's worth reading the info on the reception office door/window about buzzers etc. Manager happy to give me fresh milk when I asked. All up great value and will come again.

We stayed two nights over the Winter Festival weekend. Our room was very clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for a short stay. The bathroom is small but the shower was wonderful. We arrived late in the evening and the heating has been put on for us. The motel is only a short walk from Echo Point and the walking trails, and it's not too far to walk into the town centre. We found the owner Chris to be extremely friendly and helpful, certainly not the grump that other reviewers had implied.
