We were in Paradiso at Le Favate! Nottingham was to much for Gracia and her family to make us feel at home. Nice and clean room, good breakfast and the dinners: Gracia's cooking is simply excellent. We have to buy new pants, nothing fits any more :-). A place we would like to come back to.

We spent a week at Le Favate in August 2017. This is perfect for those who are looking to escape from the usual hectic tourist traps. Set in rural South West Italy, this restored 400yr old property insists that you slow down and relax. The host Katerina and her lovely very family make you feel like a family friend. Grazia (Katerinas Mum) is a wonderful cook who prepares a gourmet feast daily for your evening meal. Bring a healthy appetite!
Our room was spacious and the bed very comfy with beautiful bedding. The bathroom had a tub with the shower in it, probably worth noting if mobility is an issue.
Be prepared to climb flights of stone stairs with your luggage, pack light.
We stayed during a very hot period in the summer, and the absence of air conditioning could have been a problem. We had a stand fan, and a gentle breeze blew cool air into our room nightly. Not sure you'd want to be in the room during the heat of the day. The heat wasn't a problem for us.
The property has a large swimming pool with plenty of lounging chairs and umbrellas. Also a bar by the pool, big thumbs up!
We stayed in the main house but there are apartments available for families. Laundry facilities were an added bonus for us.
This property is a bit of a drive away away from the nearest decent sized town, supermarket etc, so be prepared to be in the car a fair bit. There's a small fridge in your room for any fresh produce or wine you may purchase.
The views are breathtaking and the grounds of the property are well kept and maintained.
We left after our stay here feeling completely relaxed. This is a beautiful place to stay and experience the heart of Italy.

We had 2 nights in this lovely place. Stunning building and fantastic surroundings. We looked forward to relax by the pool but sadly that wasn't possible because it was occupied with small children making a hell of a noise. Not the parents nor the staff tried to make the situation better. At a resort like this there should be some kind of rules how to behave in the "public" areas so its a nice place for everybody. The same situation we had during a quite expensive dinner at the hotels restaurant.
Our room including bath was lovely but without air condition and without hot water.

This place has everything you need for a relaxing break: perfectly renovated building, nice rooms, outside terrace for breakfast and dinner, swimming pool, excellent kitchen (4-course dinner is fantastic!), very friendly staff who runs it with a lot of passion ...

My husband and I spent two days at Le favate and it wasn't enough! This is a true unique authentic Italian experience from the serene olive groves to the family that runs it. We had our prefix dinners outside every night on the picturesque balcony overlooking the rolling hills and sea. The quality of food is something that you will not find anywhere else. Dinner was a highlight for us. Throughout the day you can smell the magic being prepared in the kitchen. I would peek my head in the kitchen and watch the ladies work. I couldn't wait for our next meal. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The ancient olive press is so cool!
During the day my husband and I would explore the surrounding area and go mozzarella tasting and relax at the ascea beach front. It was heaven.
Katerina and her family are lovely and made us feel at home. We can not wait to return with friends.
