We have now been back to Belle Mare, Private Villas for the fifth year running and we keep coming back for more. We love Mauritius and more important we love the Belle Mare Plage, private Villas - we can't recommend the place, the standard, the outstanding service and last the fabulous people looking after you for the whole time from arrival to departure.
The General Manager Gert Puchtler runs a tight ship and is visible over the hotel, the restaurants and still keep the feeling of "coming home". We love it and it goes without saying that VillaMaster Ravin is center of our 9 days - Thanks to everyone and we will come back for more in 2018 - family Andersen wouldn't live without a stay here during the year.

Really it was an amazing vacation by choosing one of the best resorts in Mauritius ... and thanks for Svanita "Butler" who looked after us during our stay :D ... the team was more than nice and friendly and I can not forget their smiley faces all the time and willingness to help and assist all the guest ... really it was a great vacation and best choice Mauritius and Belle Mare Plage specifically

The Villa is located in a very peaceful area. It is very closed to the beach. The view is fantastic. The Villa has a big swimming pool and an area for the kids as well. The pool is well maintained and the surrounding area in the Villa is clean.
We stayed in Villa number 2. It was clean and since we arrived in the night, they made dinner for us. It was much appreciated. The Villa is self catering. It has all the utensils and equipment to accommodate us.
The rooms were clean and had sufficient bedding. The maid came everyday to clean the place.
However, since we opted to settle the bill on arrival, we did not get a receipt. Our initial thought was to pay online or via bank transfer but we were not sure if this whole deal was legit or not. But it was legit except for the part of not getting a receipt.
The Villa itself is not new. But it had a tv with enough channels to keep us occupied. It had a wifi for free except that for the rooms upstairs the reception was very poor. It has two bathrooms but water pressure is a problem when using both showers at the same time.
There is not much to complain as it is a budget accommodation and we got value for our buck. Assistance was readily available. Getting in and out the Villa requires a transport as shops and amenities are quite far from the Villa. We rented two cars so we were covered. The nearest town is Flacq which is about 20 minutes by car and this town has a huge mall and a flea market.
Overall we were satisfied. This Villa is the perfect place for families traveling with kids (we had two age 2 & 1) and do not wish to spend much but wish to have a clean and a peaceful place to relax.

we stayed in a 3-bed private villa and had an amazing holiday. Thanks to Rajen and Prakash who looked after us so well and were always discretely there on hand whenever required. Would not hesitate to recommend or hopefully go back one day.

We visited in Europe's summer but their winter... it was our wedding and it rained on the day but apparently its good luck over there. The cameraman came back next day to take better pics. The place was wonderful with several bars , and food locations on site, however there is nothing really nearby unless you play golf ,which we dont... but overall an excellent hotel considering the Poverty in the Country.Recommend the catamaran tour to the special island . Given choice to go back probably not as it was a wedding memory. But nice place
