Birthday Celebration evening meal

We had our meal on Saturday 28th October. Car parking inadequate for the number of covers, my husband had to park way up the road. Food is good, although we did have to ask for lemon wedges with the whitebait. Service was a bit chaotic, we did have quite a wait for drinks. Also quite a few menu items had run out or just unavailable. We'd revisit perhaps on a quieter night to see if service etc is better.
Lovely place, very nice people and convenient for Cambridge. Recommended!

Very pleasant and helpful staff - the room was small (but we knew that in advance - booked the "small double") but clean, very comfortable and quiet. Also excellent food in the pub restaurant. The village looks nice too but we didn't have time to explore it. If driving into Cambridge at rush-hour, allow time as the traffic can be terrible!
Excellent alternative to expensive Cambridge hotels - if you have a car.

We stayed at The White Hart when on a CIE exam standardisation weekend, and were very glad we did.Although you need a car to do the four mile or so trip, it is easy to find and well worth the effort. Rooms are on the smallish size but very comfortable with just a proviso about the steep outside stairs for the less mobile. Staff are attentive and the bar restaurant area pleasantly laid out.The menu is varied and the portions large, so much so that after a starter and main we could not manage a desert which was a pity as those going by looked delicious. You could pay a alot more for a lot less in Cambridge itself. Highly recommended.

Stayed here on a Saturday night with friends. Were concerned about couple of reviews but phoned first to check the shower situation and was explained to about it being a one off so happy with that.
This place has the potential to get five stars. Bedrooms were small but nice and comfortable and perfectly fine for a night or two. Our evening meal was great. Lovely food. The building is beautiful and welcoming.
Down sides! Our shower was a trickle! Barely managed to wash the shower gel off let alone wash my hair. Our friends was fine so assuming it’s just water pressure and we were end of the line. Service was not the best. At 10.50 we were told doors would be locked at 11pm sharp how would we like to pay our bill!! No offer off another drink or anywhere else to sit and with the rooms being so small not suitable for four to go back to so it was certainly bed time! We were told it’s not a pub it’s a restaurant! A small seating area where we could of taken a bottle of wine to might of been nice. We aren’t teens trying to get drunk just friends having a night away and some wine. Breakfast choices were great breakfast itself average! Coffee was cold and I take it black. Poached eggs weren’t cooked and beans were cold. On check out we were asked if everything was okay and we mentioned the shower to them which got no response at all and then rest of checkout there was a huge atmosphere. I’d go again if maybe they improved the customer service slightly!
Fabulous place to stay

A picturesque Inn in a quaint village close to Cambridge and Duxford Air Show. Staff were ever welcoming and friendly especial Callum who really looked after us. Food was lovely especially breakfast which had numerous choices not just the standard full English, which was cooked to perfection if this is your choice, but staying more than one night gave option to have something else the next day. All the usual cereal, toast juice etc were all there. Rooms were beautifully decorated, well equipped and clean. Sleep very well in a very comfortable bed. Would love to go back and would highly recommend staying here. It just felt 'so nice' as soon as you walked in after a long journey.
