Basic but clean

We booked to stay for two nights and I was presently surprised, our room was basic but clean perfect for a group of students who weren't going to be in there much. Literally a two minute walk to earls court underground station, quiet area with lots of coffee shops around and a few pubs and restaurants.
No frills but Clean and friendly staff

This place is listed on Booking.cm at Kensington Rooms and Apartments at 37 Collingham Place. Don't get it confused, as we did , with Kensington Rooms Hotel (also here on Trip Advisor) at 137 Cromwell Road just around the corner. We arrived at the later to find it completely boarded up for renovation. It took a few minutes to realize our error.
37 Collingham is/was an old apartment building with no frills accommodation. It was clean, no A/C ; but, fans were provided which proved adequate during some warm weather. We stayed here two nights in two differs rooms. Room 10 was smaller with two full beds and kitchenette. Coffee provided with microwave and small refrigerator. Room eleven had two full beds and several singles. Bathrooms in both are small with shower stalls. The place is old but rooms were clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don't expect fancy but the price is probably best in town. We noted a few bare light bulbs. If you need upscale look elsewhere. The way the rooms are outfitted 4 or more people per room would make it a best value also. We'd use it again. Easy walk to earls court tube station.
Small but beautiful and clean

We booked for six nights at this hotel, just outside Earls Court underground and near the Museums area of London.
The rooms are small but comfortable and most important clean. Breakfast sufficient and good.
The Polish lady receptionist was very courteous and helpful.
Has two things going for it - Price and Location - Would be ideal for a group of students but not for fond memories....

We stayed here for a cheap family London weekend. Its only a 2 minute walk from Earls Court Station, and less than £100 per night. The place must be worth a fortune but hasn't been well looked after. The rough white paint job with a stained crimson carpet is gives a rather unexciting atmosphere and there is a complete lack of decor throughout. No effort has been made to cover up blemishes such as screw holes, old rawl plugs and the like. Our room included a kitchen sink, crockery, small fridge and microwave. TV rather small. But everything at least worked. So not ideal as a showcase to British hospitality. But great value for the location.

A distinctly average place to stay, served its purpose as a place to crash at the end of the day. Not a good place for anything longer than one or two nights. On the plus side the surrounding area is nice.
