Best location within Kruger National Park

This hotel offered the most amazing experience. Our room (No 1) was very comfortable with an outdoor shower.
The lodge itself is stunningly beautiful, especially when it gets dark and they light up all the electric candles.
The staff are friendly and welcome you back after each game drive. When we arrived we could see a number of elephants at the watering hole directly opposite the lodge. The 2 game drives a day were excellent. It was like having your own private game driver, who followed our wishes (find the cats, stop here, stop there).
The best lodge you can book far and wide in the Kruger Park area!
Fantastic experience

Our stay at Hoyo Hoyo was truly memorable. The staff were excellent; friendly, obliging and fun, the accommodation was perfect for the setting and the game drives were outstanding. Victor our guide / driver was enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable and great company. He even made a special trip to one of Africas most southerly baobab trees just to appease the forester in the party (me). It was well worth the detour - we even managed to get another pride of lions into the bargain. What a special part of the world and an ideal safari camp.
Excellent friendly staff

What makes Hoyo Hoyo is the staff. They are extremely friendly. The rooms were unique clean with good air conditioning . Lovely pool. Elephants roam in and around camp
Victor our game driver was excellent. Sighting game is a matter of luck, though made more difficult by Hoyo Hoyo being a concession of the Kruger part, restricted by their strict rules compared to a private reserve.
Apart from breakfast ,meals were mediocre, given that at maximum, there are only 12 guests
We were unaware that there is No Wi Fi or phone and it was not mentioned on their web. ( Children were concerned that we lost touch)
Transfer time is 2 hours the last on rough roads.
If we had not visited other private game reserves in the Kruger, i would have probably rated it higher. You get what you pay for and if you are visiting for the first time and on a limited budget you may well have a great experience.
Fabulous Hoyo Hoyo

Quite an amazing experience, we’re very pleased that we chose to stay at Hoyo Hoyo. Everything was just great right from the collection at Skukuza Airport to when we were dropped off.
The setting is very secluded, peaceful and beautiful. There are only six chalets so no more than a dozen guests at any time. The chalets themselves are very comfortable and quaint - loved the outdoor shower.
The hospitality is excellent too and the staff are extremely attentive. Great food, ate too much there!
Loved the safari drives, in particular the sundowners out on the savanna. Some spectacular animal sights.
Fantastic!

We arrived at Hoyo Hoyo a little later than planned yet were greeted with a warm welcome, a drink and asked if we wished to go straight out on evening safari.
The whole place was faultless, the staff could not have been more friendly, the food was amazing, the rooms clean and pleasant, and the safari guides very knowledgeable!
Everything was included, from morning coffee, drinks by the pool and a sun downer on the evening game drive. The rooms were well stocked with tea, coffee, water and toiletries. The game drives were well prepared with a warm blanket, snacks and drinks.
There are reviews here about people not seeing everything they wanted on game drives, clearly if you want a guarantee of seeing particular animals then go to a zoo, safari is not for you. But if you are willing to watch and wait, these guides and trackers work together sharing good finds they spot and do a great job. They know their stuff, are very informative and have eyes like hawks....how you spot a chameleon in the dark I will never know!!!
Thank you for a great holiday.
