From the minute I made a booking with this property I was worried. Tried emailing them 2 or 3 times about late check in process but no answer. Phoned them and sorted that issue. Then had to change my date and was charged an extra $43 as apparently the same room type wasn't available so had to upgrade. When I arrived the room was the worst I've ever stayed in so doubt that I had been upgraded at all. You couldn't have got any lower in category if you tried. Shower was filthy with mould everywhere, based on that didn't even want to sleep in the bed. Lucky I was there for only 6 hours. My room (room 9) also had a cat door into it !!! Anyway needless to say I won't be going back and as a travel agent I will not be recommending to my worst enemy let alone my clients.

My Mum and I stayed here on our WOW trip, we had a twin room which was great for us, we found this spot great, close to town and easy to get to, supermarket around the corner, and the best fish n chips just a block away. The staff were so friendly. This is a budget motel, but it is very clean, so what more could you want.

The night before arrival I received a text message asking what time I would be arriving. I found this odd. Usually you just arrive after check in is available. I replied that I wasn't sure but I estimated around 2pm - 4pm arrival. So before I even leave for a couple of days holiday I am already feeling the pressure of having to arrive somewhere by a certain time. On the day of my stay ali receive a call at 3.30pm asking what time I will be there, once again this is a very odd thing for accommodation to do. So feeling the pressure i cut my zoo trip short and head to the accommodation to check in. It turns out they wanted to head out to the night markets hence the reason they wanted me there! Really unprofessional. Killbirnie is not a nice town, I didn't feel very safe being in the room alone. The room was okay, the bedding looked nice and clean, and even had an electric blanket. The room was warm. Wifi didn't work at all the first night, second night i went down to see why it wasn't working and I had been given the wrong password at check in. Face cloth had dirty marks on it also, blind had mould on the bottom of it, but the room was cheap so I didn't expect it to be amazing.

Received a strange call enroute querying if we would arrive after 6 pm ish, when the staff would be off duty and some weird complication regarding check in that we ignored...arrived at dinner time and super nice guy in front flat gave us the key, and even changed our room when we requested a double.
Room was over perfumed, TV setting a mess, cheap fittings throughout on the verge of causing major problems, power point behind bed smashed...BUT warm, clean and surprisingly quiet.

Stayed here with a group of friends over the weekend. Our room was good for the price and super warm even without the heater on. The electric blanket was a nice surprise and the wifi worked great.
Was a bit disappointed with the lack of bench space our room had compared to the others would rather if had one less chair, and the only sink being in the bathroom also wasn't preferred.
This meets all basic needs though and we did enjoy our stay.
