We didn't stay at A La Vignette because they were fully booked, but we did have dinner at their restaurant several times. The service was good, the staff very friendly and the food was excellent. Great selection of food and wines. The owners, Mr & Mrs Humbrecht, are very attentive - he is the chef, and she runs the restaurant. Due to our limited French, she always made sure that the menu was explained to us, a suitable wine was suggested and that we were well looked after. We highly recommend a visit to their restaurant, as well as trying their accommodation, if available.

There was a really nice breakfast room with Alsatian crockery. The food was good as well which is important! We were on a cycling tour and it was convenient for the bikes. The staff were pleasant so I recommend.

Our second stay at the A la Vignette. It is a great, authentic Alsatian hotel run by a great family. They are more than accommodating and always go out of their way to make our stay perfect. Very affordable, quality room. Perfect for those on a budget that don't want to compromise authenticity or basic comforts. There is parking nearby by the church (at most a few hundred yards walk), and sometimes you can find parking right out front. Make sure to enjoy their fantastic restaurant while you are there - you will not be disappointed. Great central and quiet location.

Good breakfast and location. Short drive to Haut- Koeningsburg Castle.Parking has never been an issue. There is enough parking within 200 meters. Pet friendly: one of the reasons why we chose to stay at this hotel. The rooms are very clean but average.
What sets this family run establishment apart from the much more expensive hotels and restaurants in this vicinity is the hotel proprietors: Mr. and Mrs. Humbrecht. Their attention to their guests is the reason why we keep coming back when we are near Alsace.
Make sure you make reservations in their restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Mr. Humbrecht is an excellent Chef, his wife runs the hotel and restaurant and will make you feel "right at home". The selection from their menu, French and Regional Specialities, offer of local wines will please your palate and your wallet ! We ordered two of the 3-course Menus offered for less than 22€ for dinner. Service was very cordial and attentive.
We have dined at many restaurants here in Alsace. Value for money and care to detail in presentation and palate will hopefully make you a returning dining guest. I wonder why some of the other restaurants have such good restaurant reviews? It is never loud nor are we so close to other tables that we cannot enjoy our meals and have to listen to the other diners. Give the restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed!

This is a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay in the charming village of St Hippolyte. There is ample parking on a gravel lot next door, €4 a day. St Hippolyte is a good base for a day or more of walking tours. It gets busy with tour groups during midday but the mornings and evenings are for the 'locals' and others staying in the village. The hotel's staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a cozy nook for a drink or coffee. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The building is charming and old but walls are thin so don't say anything your neighbors should not hear.
