I stayed here with wife and kid. As all in toledo everything has a story, and we are just starting to map it. At the desk at night, find Mayte, she is amazing. Checked some food options for us- day trips and had excellent recommendations tailored to what we were asking about. Rooms... good, a
Toledo antique but not old. I usually carry a bungee cord or two (thru Europe you can tie both twin bed legs together if needed to make a bigger bed. Room all basics. Did you notice the glass floors in the lobby? Yes this was once a quilt makers shop (years 1400 AD or so). Take the underground tours... would do it again!! Hotel will make you feel like royalty. Close to Saint Nicolas church, at the city walls. Good luck! Happy travels..

We stopped in Toledo for the night after driving from Granada. Perfect location. Parking was in a nearby garage, but will directions from hotel staff it was quite easy. Breakfast was simple but perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Toledo.

We had a two night stay at Hotel Abad with one of our children. Very comfortable beds. Air conditioning worked very well. Room was quite lovely with exposed brick walls and large windows that look out on street. Staff was perfect. We had a wonderful stay.

When I drove up, I was a little concerned. No parking, and looked tiny. It was late at night, and I think her name was Monica. Me and my family were received with such kindness and friendliness, it completely changed my outlook as soon as we dragged ourselves in. The room was small, but very cozy. All wood. It is really nice. For the price, this an excellent hotel. The breakfast simple but good. They have parking just down the street. Even though we stayed for a day, they let us leave our car at the lot for 2 days. You can park right next to the hotel, when you are checking in, and then they give you the pass card for the parking. Cost about 11 Euro for parking per day. It is underground and protected. We will stay here again. The second day I stayed at a more expensive hotel. And Hotel Abad is much better. Will stay here again.

My friend and I prefer small, old hotels with atmosphere, and Hotel Abad definitely fits this bill. It's in an old building smack up against the outside of the ancient city wall, next to the wonderful Puerta del Sol. The location is perfect; a short uphill walk to the Plaza de Zocodover. We were delighted by one wonderful bit of modernization in the building: the elevator...our room was on a top floor! The arrangement of the room was a bit unusual: sitting room, sofa, sink and queen bed all in one area, and two single beds in a loft above. The weather was quite warm, and the loft NEVER cooled down. The small morning desayuno was fairly average, and the breakfast room/cocktail bar was so full of tables that it was nearly impossible to move around. Taking all in all, I would probably stay here again, provided I could avoid the loft!
