Location was beautiful, service was very good, accommodations were alright. I emailed prior to our trip explaining that we needed 3 twin beds, and got conformation that that was ok. When we arrived they had us in a room with 1 queen and a cot. So I told them that wouldn't do. After waiting a bit we were moved, the room was ok, except we had to go up a flight of stair to our sleeping loft, which had 1 queen and 1 twin (we discovered the queen was 2 twins put together so we just pulled them apart). The furnishings were a bit run down, and the decor is pretty tacky. Vases of fake flowers every place, and weird bird cages hanging all over the dinning room. Speaking of dining room, I can't recommend eating there. Our meal was pretty bad. Pasta was ok, but main course was bad. It was included in our package so I can't be too upset, but it was like a wasted meal. Breakfast was good, eggs, toast, pastry, and fruit. One thing that was very annoying was if you brought your own wine you could n't sit in the "bar" which was more like the whole lobby, so we had to sit in uncomfortable chairs in a drafty hallway! All in all the place was nice, I do hope they update the decor a bit. The pool was closed for the season when we stayed there.

We would give 6 stars if possible! Gorgeous setting. Beautiful people! Charming old Abby with beautiful frescos. Michael Angelo was our favorite staff member who made our evenings memorable. The bar was warm and cozy. The views were spectacular. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Management was helpful at every turn. Please be aware that you need two prong plug for charging your phone. Close to many beautiful hillside towns. Would love to come back. Be sure to have GPS in this area.
A great deal

We stayed here as art of a great package and loads of people seemed to be on the same deal. The room was fine and the beds were very comfortable. We never managed to sort the air conditioning but to be fair we never asked reception to help. The bathrooms were well appointed and everything was v clean.
The central areas are particularly nice and there's lots of choice of where to be. The dining room is lovey, there are 2 pools (though too cold to swim in October!) with sunbeds, a terrace overlooking the valley and a nice bar.
The 3 course evening meal as part of the deal was very tasty, particularly if you close carefully from the limited menu. The staff were great and worked very, very hard.
The hotel was particularly impressive in their reaction to damage. Our friends managed to flood their room with a blocked toilet (watch the mechanism- it gets jammed on running sometimes- we had the same issue but hadn't got a blocked toilet first so it wasn't the same problem) but the staff were wonderful and after we returned from a day out, they had just moved all the belongings to the room next door. It wasn't mentioned again. Bless you all.
You can check in for your flights at reception and print boarding passes- great.
A very tranquil place

We have just returned from our stay. We arrived late on the first evening. We had notified the hotel and they had an excellent cold meal waiting.
The staff are all friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and apart from sometimes being too hot at night,we slept well. The pools look great but we're a bit cold at this time of year so we just looked. The views around are amazing.
We enjoyed the wine tasting and the cookery class. All delivered with good humour.
The food is fine, not out of this world but very adequate and the house red is great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go again.
Great location and all our needs catered for

We enjoyed staying here, but had a terrible time finding it - Google maps were no good as it is off the beaten track, so directions would have been useful. Once there, the staff were helpful and cheerful, especially the dining room staff. Lovely swimming pool in an attractive terraced garden, but not heated, so a bit chilly in October. Hotel also offered lifts most days to local places of interest, a free Italian cooking demonstration (you get to eat what you cook) and a tour of a local vineyard/winery which included wine-tasting.
