Nicola Bon 07/11/2017 10:46Stayed 2 nights room was spotless, breakfast excellent, as on my own Sandra makes you feel at ease and a friendly host. Will definitely be staying again. A week later my family stayed there they to found it a lovely friendly place and very clean.Do not be put of by the scaffolding as others have found off putting look beyond it. Thank you Sandra for our pleasant stays
Lovely, cosy B&B
Jimbopimboon 25/10/2017 20:34I stayed here for business in a double room. Really good price and location (just a few minutes walk from the town centre and 5 minutes drive from the motorway). Breakfast was lovely. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was immaculate. The host, Samantha was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Debbie Mon 11/10/2017 20:58I don't think we saw Abbey House at its best: it had scaffolding up on the front of the building, the owner said she wasn't well and wasn't up to cooking breakfast so she refunded us some money so we never tasted breakfast which had some good reviews.
Our room at the front was small the bed seemed tiny! So we didn't have the best sleep but it is very close to the town so it is superb in terms of location.
All in all an average b&b I stayed in better, I've stayed in worse!
Lakes Weekend Away
Paul Con 11/07/2017 21:16As our son was away camping with the adventure scouts for the weekend around the lakes ,we took the opportunity as we always tend to do to have a weekend away .This was the first night and as we were going to Carlise on the Saturday we decided to stay in Penrith and as this establishment had some good reviews we booked and we were not to be disappointed .Lovely large room with ensuing and coffee and tea making facilities , oh and the little jar of toffee's
Very good nights sleep and an absolutely brilliant full English breakfast

richardhexton 23/06/2017 18:08Second stop on our Lakes and Dales cycling trip. We arrived a little early and were therefore unable to check in on arrival: worth noting that if you do plan on arriving mid afternoon it's a good idea to let them know in advance. Once checked in, however we couldn't fault the accommodation. It was clean and light, the rooms were nice, bathroom facilities perfectly fine, and the breakfast was good. Cycle accommodation was fine. Would stay there again.
