We only stayed one night sadly, for a wedding in the area. We were warmly welcomed and very kindly allowed to check in early. Had sandwiches (and chips) for lunch, which were divine.
The owner ordered our taxi to the wedding, and on returning later that evening, we enjoyed a drink at their gorgeous little pub. The end to a perfect day. The room was very "olde worlde" and the bed very comfortable.
Finished the stay off with a magnificent full English breakfast. Only regret is that we didn't stay for longer!

Staff and service were excellent..
The authentic decor takes you back to a bygone age....
There is parking outside.
The village is very quaint..
Looking forward to the event nights!!

Helen, one of the owners is always pleasant and welcoming.The atmosphere is very good. We are vegetarian. We do eat dairy products. The Abbot's does try to provide pleasant vegetarian options (Other than pasta!).

A beautiful quirky boutiquey hotel with a fab restaurant & bar. Regular themed nights that re excellent value. I rather liked the cat in the courtyard garden. All sorts of little nooks & crannies to sit quietly & enjoy the lovely ambience. Huge great fire which hopefully roars in the winter.

Stayed for 1 night on 30th Sept. in the Wellington room.
A beautiful old building with plenty of traditional features.
Great hosts and friendly staff.
The food was amazing.
Definitely will be returning in the not too distant future.
