A lovely 2 nights

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst doing the Gavin & Stacey tour.
I booked on a friends recommendation a few weeks before & despite us being awkward & wanting to check in at 11am, Helen was not at all put out & happily accommodated our request!
Food in the tapas restaurant was outstanding & very reasonably priced, breakfast (included) was also very good; All food & drink served by a friendly family who couldn't do enough.
The room was large with a nice view.
We shall be back!
Thanks. X
Reasonable Hotel

It was good that we were all able to access free internet in the hotel. They also allow dogs to stay without an extra cost. Beds were comfortable, however rooms were a bit narrow and the beds didn't fit some of the rooms as they were not up against a wall. It was pleasant in the hotel and not crowded.
The breakfast selections were good, though not always full and so sometimes we had to ask and wait for what we wanted. Cooked breakfast was generally good.
Rooms were usually serviced during the day, however not always, and when they were, some things were left such as towels that had been used. Occasionally staff were heard discussing personal issues, mainly in the bar area as we were walking past. We stayed some nights to have drinks and were mostly alone.
A number of people currently stay here as a temporary residence and go out to work. We feel this hotel suits those types of people more than holidaymakers.
Fantastic food

We stayed here for 3 nights in their "Penthouse" suite, which was perfectly adequate, with lovely views over the town and of the sea. The staff are really friendly, but what makes this place stand out is the food. The breakfast is great, freshly cooked, with local ingredients. They also have a Tapas bar, with the most amazing food, great prices and very generous portions. Drinks were well priced, £4 for a pint of Peroni, £5 for a cocktail, wine at decent prices and £15 for a lovely bottle of Prosecco. Lovely cozy atmosphere in the little bar, with a separate dining room if you preferred that. Would recommend 😀😀
STUNNING FOOD !!

I have reviewed this restaurant some time ago but felt that is deserved a mention again, visited this evening with my husband and two friends and I can honestly say that it amazes me that the restaurant "Whispers" located within the hotel is not packed to the rafters every night because I can honestly say that having visited most of the restaurants in the Barry area the food in this restaurant is the best their is it is amazing they specialise in Tapas and they really are incredible and very generous portions you certainly will not leave this restaurant hungry as I have done in other Tapas restaurants I have visited in the past. Also one of the owners Helen is most definitely the hostess with the mostest she makes you feel really welcome and is so attentive and the service is excellent. So if your in the area you really should visit you won't be disappointed.
Delightful

We stayed here just for a one night break. Located easily, parking available outside on street. Easy to get to bars & restaurants down the short hill (although has it's own bar and tapas). Our room was bright, airy and clean. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a very long time. Did not want to get up. Breakfast was generous and service friendly. Very enjoyable stay and recommended. Would not hesitate to stay again.
