This quaint property has it all!
steveandnancyhon 27/09/2017 16:38We visited Castelrotto to enjoy hiking in the mountains, but we discovered this wonderful hotel and spa. The room was simple but very comfortable. The spa services, the pools (1 inside, 1 outside) and amenities were delightful. And the restaurant (breakfast and dinner are included) were phenomenal. We were the only English speaking guests during our stay, but the staff were multi-lingual and were so helpful and pleasant. And the other guests, mostly German speaking were fun and welcoming too! They also provided bus passes to travel locally. We cannot wait to return to this area and this hotel!
Wonderful wellness centre
Sky Ton 18/08/2017 17:48This is such a chic hotel and the wellness centre was so large that we would have liked to have had more time to make use of it. We treated ourselves to a romantic spa package which was lovely. Our room was simple but had everything we needed. The only sore point was the food.
wonderful relaxing stay
annao92on 17/04/2017 09:22I stayed in Abinea with my family for my mum's birthday. It was a surprise for her and the staff has been helpful and kind, and arranged every detail in a very nice way.
The hotel is beautiful, the spa is big and simply amazing... soo relaxing!! The food was good as well.
The location is also good, close to beautiful mountains, ideal for trekking or skiing.
It's perfect for a romantic stay, but with the family was wonderful as well.
The only weak point? We found the price for charging the electric car quite high (more than 20 € for one night).. In some places they let you charge for free.
High Quality Dolomites hotel
Alisteroon 18/03/2017 16:48We had never been skiing as a family before, and with a 4yr old, a hotel with "romantic" in the name may not sound an obvious first choice but the overall feel of the hotel convinced us nonetheless. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco or cup of orange juice and invited to make our choices for the evening meal. There are generally 3 or 4 courses, with two or three of them offering a choice between two dishes, plus a buffet at the start which can be a full meal in itself if you're not careful. The standard was exceptionally high for a hotel and you have the sense that the kitchen really cares that you find each dish special. There is also a separate kids' menu with three courses, and in case any of those are a no-go for your child, the kitchen can often accommodate an alternative. Breakfast offers a wide range of alternatives from coffees and freshly-squeezed fruit juice to prosecco, and fruit salad to bacon and sausages.
Apart from the high quality food offering, the other exceptional feature of the hotel is the spa - a labyrinth of pampering rooms, relaxing areas, steam rooms and saunas. Only the swimming pool is accessible to children, the main spa area is technically nudist, but white towels were in evidence, strategically positioned.
We haven't even mentioned the rooms yet, but ours was well-appointed and recently modernised in a classic style.
Important to note also that the hotel has a deal with a local ski equipment provider worth 20% off a week's hire.
The hotel is a little further than some from the ski lift up to Alpe di Siusi but we are talking a 10 minute car journey, daily parking at the other end is €3 (parking is free in the secure car park at the hotel) and this was not a consideration for us at all.
Hope to have the opportunity to return soon to Abinea!

No_Belgianon 18/07/2016 09:01To start with : this hotel is located in one of the nicest Dolomite villages, a perfect starting place for summer hiking or winter skiing.
The hotel itself has the typical but sophisticated mountain looks, all at the highest quality and newest technology.
A stylish spa, including indoor swimming pool and sun terrace. The rooms are just perfect : spacious, extremely clean, very good bed and excellent bathroom.
Finally the food : a perfect breakfast buffet which makes you ready for a day of sports, an afternoon tea moment with cake and a superb dinner all made of the freshest and high-quality ingredients.
In summary : a hotel I am more than happy to recommend !
