Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of July and couldn't have had better service. Arrived late on Friday due to bad traffic but was welcomed with a smile and shown to our room. Room was a really good size, clean and had all the essentials. We also had access to a fridge outside the room which had water replaced daily for us. The Property is located about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Torquay and about 5-10 from the train station.
Each morning we had a delicious home cooked breakfast that sets you up for the day. Janet the owner would also help with your plans for the day and give recommendations and advice on where to go and what to do.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend as we will stay here again on our next visit.

Andrew and Janet where very very welcoming and were always willing to cater for those with gluten and other dietary needs while i was there for my much needed break and the best feeding up ever !! the room was excellent very well kept standards for a small 4 star hotel were excellent the evening meal option was very very good even for someone like me. the breakfast was very very good and you did not need much at lunch until your eagerly awaited meal in the evening. ambiance was very good also you had other guests to talk to at dinner if they so wished all my fellow guests were delighted with this hotel .peter (reminded me of that Sid James laugh) and and all the other regular guests who have been staying there over the years where always civil and polite as was the other newcomers whom i briefly met at the breakfast table.triple well done from Paul heathrow terminal 2

Excellent location, lovely comfortable room and brilliant food with carefull attention to put coeliacs and those with special dietary requirements at ease. Andrew and Janet couldn't be more friendly with plenty of suggestions for places to visit. This is our second visit and it won't be our last.

This is a return visit for us, we have enjoyed every stay. Our room was very comfortable and the shower bliss! The food is great, a good variety, and as a coeliac I have every confidence that I shall be well looked after. I have the same menu choices as everyone else. Janet and Andrew are lovely hosts.

Just want to say thank to Janet &Andrew just spent the weekend at Abingdon House , and I can definitely recommend this place your hospitality was fantastic and nothing is too much trouble, my friend is GLUTEN FREE and she able to enjoy your lovely breakfast as well which i have never seen before.
The room are lovely and clean and we even got water everyday and chocolate all those extra made it a truly wonderful stay.
So if you are looking for somewhere to stay chose theses guys, you won't be disappointed.
