More business than pleasure
steverodgerson 24/10/2017 20:25We booked the ac for a week and it was obvious on arrival that it is a business hotel and not a holiday type hotel. The hotel is modern and stylish perfect for a city break or business trip .the room was the basic room which was ok but nothing like the photo , it was on the first floor which prooved problematic as it was the noisiest hotel room weve ever had. The narrow street under our window had lots of shops and from first light we were woken and kept awake by shopkeepers and workmen banging and crashing and shouting to each other. the food was so overpriced in the hotel that we never ate there, we ate at the plentiful cafes and bars around the hotel which were great. all the bars in almeria serve free tapas with every alcholic drink you buy, all different and very delicious there was five of us and a round of drinks all with tapas was fourteen pounds. The room had a very comfy bed plenty of wardrobe and draw space and the bathroom was clean modern with a very good shower, the view was somebodys flat so the curtains had to be closed most of the time. There isnt any tea or coffee facility in the room but there is a stocked fridge a good flat screen tv and hairdrier. on the roof is a small pool with sunbeds and tables and chairs with a good view of the arabic castle on the hill, but we had a problem as the doors to the pool area were locked and we had to ask reception to be let in. In short the hotel is modern and clean good for a weekend, well cited in the center and a half hour walk to the beach, but if you go and you like a lye in ask for a room as high up as pos or one facing the hotel opposite as they are a lot quieter
Beautiful spot
Jane3722on 14/10/2017 17:39We spent two nights at this hotel. Rooms beautifully appointed although the bed was a queen. Great bathroom. Rooftop pool. Breakfast buffet included. Great location but you need a gps to find it if you drive
Great location, beautiful pool
travellingblondeTOon 01/10/2017 19:52This hotel was very well located in Almeria, an easy two minute walk to the main street with shopping and restaurants and about a twenty minute walk down to the beaches (you can also catch a busy easily nearby). There is valet parking, which is extremely useful in a city with such tight little laneways where it's easy to get lost. The amenities were pretty good; the pool especially is a great spot to hang out on the roof in very comfortable lounge chairs with a view of the Alcazaba fortress. The gym is old, but certainly useable (not that important on vacation anyway). We didn't try the restaurant, as the prices seemed to be the typical inflated hotel rates. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were very nice and modern with great shower pressure. Service was excellent as well, from the front desk to the cleaning service. One nice bonus was the always-available espresso upstairs from the lobby. All in all, not absolute luxury, but certainly there is nothing at all to complain about.
Perfect location
Ian Ton 30/09/2017 14:29This was our second visit to this hotel. We love it here. Ideal location in the centre of the old part of Almeria Ciudad. Comfortable and clean. All staff are lovely - friendly, helpful and polite. We are looking forward to coming back again next year.
A waste of money
Muhammad Yon 28/09/2017 18:06We stayed one night at the hotel, and even though we ordered a room with a double bed we got a room with two single beds. Our deal didn't include breakfast so we bought some food but the fridge in the room was broken and the food got wasted. Furthermore, parking costed 16 euros per night, which is 3 times more expensive than other hotels that we experienced.
