Official Ironman Hotel

This was my second stay here at Bella Sky. Both times I were there for the IM competition since this was the official race hotel. This time i booked an executive room to get som more space. It´s did not give me a lot of more space than a normal room, but the view was nice. Unfortunately the bed wasn't very well cleaned and it took a couple of days before the got it fixed. The staff is very polite and make you feel welcome. The breakfast is also very good, a lot of choices and varieties so if you cant fill your stomach here, then its all on you. ;P
Very Impressed - A Unique and Enjoyable Stay

I was only able to stay at the AC Bella Sky Hotel in Copenhagen for one night for a long flight layover, but I definitely want to come back! The hotel was incredibly unique, welcoming, and memorable. I slept on one of the most comfortable beds in recent memory. I wish I knew what kind of pillows they use - they were so cozy! The staff were very friendly as well, even though I arrived late in the evening. Even though it’s not located downtown, there is a nearby metro line for easy transportation. I highly recommend this hotel! Breakfast was delicious too.
Excellent people - Excellent hotel

The hotel is located near the airport (you never hear anything about airplane noise etc.).
Near by there is a big shopping mall (Field's) where you find pretty much everything including several restaurants.
There are two restaurants in the hotel, a Spa plus a gym area, which is quite big.
The most impressive however is the bar at the roof level 23 - skybar with a fantastic view! Just the right palace for a sundowner!
Just across the street there is a golf course (Royal Golf Club) and a nice walking area.
The internet (complementary) is often quite slow (download around 1 mb, upload goes down to 16 kb...) which disconnects occasionally.
The breakfast is quite large, including fruit and different egg dishes.
However, if you stay more than three days, you will notice that there is no change in the Buffet breakfast.
Two breakfast rooms are available with both the same buffet.
Visit BASALT restaurant for dinner - but make a reservation (see my review too).
The gym is quite large - the spa area has a pool (too small for swimming, but relaxing!).
Outside there is enough space to run around :)
The hotel has a specialty which I havent seen anywhere else: the receptuon desks are openi.e. individual desks. That means each receptionist can come forward and meet the new (or old) guests. The most amazing thing is: they actually do that! This makes me feel much more appreciated and welcome then anywhere else!
There is an easy Connection with public transport to the city center (footwalk to the station about 10 minutes, total time until kongens nytorv about 20-30 minutes)
I Would Stay Here Again

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in early November.
It is a lovely hotel with just a few minor annoyances.
First off, we arrived around 10am after a tiring overnight flight from Canada. The employee at the front desk was very friendly and lovely and our room was ready for an early check-in. She gave us info on using the metro (which we had researched before hand). We were in our room for a few minutes when she called up to make sure everything was ok. Very nice.
We were in a wheelchair accessible room on the 4th floor. The room was spacious enough but there was way too much furniture in it for it to be a good wheelchair accessible room. Take out half the furniture then it would be ok. There is really no need for 2 chairs, a sofa and 2 tables in that room. I see the hotel is going for the minimalist look with no drawers anywhere to put your clothes. but if they are going for the minimalist look then like I said they need to get rid of the extra furniture.
One closet with a few hangers and a clothing rod outside the closet was the only place to put your clothing. No drawers to place your underwear, etc. I found that really bizarre. I ended up living out of my suitcase on the floor (because there is no suitcase stand) for the weekend. I like to unpack so that was a bit annoying.
The bathroom was big and roomy with a shower chair for my husband who is in a wheelchair. There was no shower curtain, though, which was annoying, because before you took a shower you had to move the towels off the racks so they wouldn't get soaked. And the floor wasn't designed properly because the water ran all over the bathroom floor, it didn't all go down the drain.
There is not a lot of place in the bathroom to lay your toiletries, so I took one of the extra tables from the bedroom and brought it in the bathroom to lay things on.
Now to what I did like about the room........
The bed was very, very comfortable, loved it!
The heating and cooling system was probably one of the best I've ever used in a hotel. It got hot or cool almost immediately - no waiting!
The room was nice and bright because of the large windows. Too many hotel rooms are dark.
House keeping was efficient and our toiletries were replaced daily.
There is an iron & ironing board, a kettle with tea and coffee supplies and a fully stocked mini bar. We asked for the fridge to be emptied and it was, although on the 2nd day the upper shelf of the fridge was re-stocked. Strange. We then could use the fridge for our own drinks. There is also a safe that is large enough for a big laptop.
The hotel is away from downtown so there's not much of a view out the windows (we were only on the 4th floor anyway, but even on the top floor you basically just see green spaces and surrounding buildings). Not a big deal, I don't go to hotels for the view.
The nearby metro was great - just a couple of minutes walk and less than 10 minutes on the train and you are in downtown Copenhagen. One stop in the other direction is a shopping mall which was convenient for eating in the evenings, buying snacks, etc.
We did not eat at the restaurants in the hotel, the prices seemed very expensive (Copenhagen's prices are high in general, but these just seemed higher).
The outside of the hotel is funky looking, great for photographers.
All in all, a lovely hotel, fairly good rate, we would stay here again.
Check out the Lego model of the hotel on the ground floor of the conference centre tower as well!
Always fabulous

Once again I went to Bella sky, first time was amazing. So I was curious if they could “do it again” and they did. 🙏🏼
Service: In top. Room: In top. View: Amazing view at the park from the bed. Morning fitness and spa: no better way to start the day! Followed up by a great breakfast with everything I needed.
I love that the checkout is so late, so you don’t have to be in a rush in the morning.
Only complain: wanted one more day!
