Very modern
annette231on 31/10/2017 05:15Not quite as good as some of the other places we stayed. and the air conditioning is unreliable. Smaller than others. Staff were OK except for one of the waitresses at the bar who had an unusual attitude and needed some training. perhaps she was new and could not cope with a group. But for a supposedly 4 star hotel this is not too good.
Great hotel, great location
FedMedon 26/09/2017 14:15I may be biased in my review as we stayed here for free with my Marriott points and were upgraded because of my status. They put us in the junior suite, which was huge. It had an entry hall, a living room, two full bathrooms, and a king-size bed. The room was clean, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful in guiding us to the center of town and local places to eat. The hotel was maybe a five minute walk from the center. This made for a quiet stay. They have a garage attached to the hotel, so parking was also easy. We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast in the hotel but there were lots of little cafes around that served breakfast. Even though I don't know what the regular rooms are like, I would absolutely stay here again while visiting Leon because of the staff and the location.
Room OK but no A/C
JorgeFayon 23/09/2017 19:19They turn off the air conditioning in the hotel because the temperature will drop by night. Now it's 25 Celsius. Maybe at 3am will get better. If you open the window there is a lot of noise and bugs get into the room. Not what I expected from a hotel by Marriott
Very disappointing defiantly not 4 star!
Veritas-as-it-ison 18/09/2017 11:27From the exterior and its glitzy photos, The AC Hotel Leon San Antonio appears worthy of its 4 Star rating and epitomises to old saying about first appearances being deceiving.
We stayed 2 nights (with another couple) at the beginning of September and am aghast that they adorn a 4 star rating!
The small lobby area has a reception and a small area where you can have a coffee or a drink. The only thing is you need to make the coffee yourself or serve yourself from an array of miniature bottles. No staff anywhere …. (But all paid for at reception) How exactly is this four star.
The room was ok but the bed tiny (Smallest bed available legally called a ‘Double’) Foam pillow and Duvet no bath (only a shower) and the most pathetic excuse of a mini bar I have ever come across. It really would be better to not have one at all. No spirits at all (I imagine you have to go to the reception area to collect those.) The mini bar had 1 chocolate bar a bag of nuts a Sam Miguel and a none alcohol one. 2 or 3 soft drinks and water. despite the room being for 2 people.
The hotel has about 7 /8 floors but only has 2 tiny lifts. At most 4 people, but in reality, it’s for 2 people and their bags. Many frustrated guest trying to get themselves and their luggage down. each time the lift did actually stop the doors would open to a full lift (2 people and their bags!)
This hotel falls well short of 4 stars and not only would I not return there but I will probably avoid the AC Hotel group, if this is indicative of their quality of service.
Good Hotel in a good location
Clare Ron 23/08/2017 13:07Nice generic hotel, lovely clean rooms, functional and business orientated. Pleasant staff and good customer service. Teh hotel accommodated hen and stag parties at the weekend. Secure parking for the motor bikes. We did not eat here.
