The hotel was amazing, the location was breathtaking because it had a sea view sight. The hotel stuff were truly friendly and warmth welcoming and so I enjoyed my stay there.
I think I would not hesitate to go back there.

Absolutely horrible hotel
Stained sheets and pillows, smelly beds and rooms
Hotel is a good 20 minutes walk to the shops and bars
Staff rude and have a can’t be bothered attitude
Breakfast cheap and poor standard all food cold
This hotel is never. 3 stat more. -1
Needs a good overhaul both inside and out

Rooms are very basic, I would have liked a kitchen sink or microwave but I guess the price reflects the quality. It is across the road from the esplanade and next to the hospital but still a half an hour walk to the shops.

Very tired hotel, staff had little English. Key did not fit door, we had to return to reception for another key. Room was clean but very dated and very hot. The bed was hard as a rock. Wifi did not work in the room. Breakfast was cheap but restaurant & buffet area were very messy. Not enough cutlery provided and not enough staff to keep clean.

Gave this 1 Star our if 5 purely due the fact the young lad at reception was professional and courteous when I checked in .
Other than that what an indifferent experience . Firstly the lobby and lift area needs a good modern up ,clean up , then up to the room ....
* cracked tiles in bathroom
* stained towels in bathroom
* leaking tap in bathroom
* decor not updated in 30 years and the room reflects such
* wire hanging off the patio door
* stained pillow covers
* intermittent internet at best
* unusual and constant damp / mouldy smell in the room
* etc etc etc
Given this property is a far walk from Cairns cbd , don’t think you can saunter into town .
Overall , this property needs a good clean up , inside and out .
I will never stay here again
