What People are saying

Wonderful service and opportunities for outdoor stuff

Kate M on 26/08/2017 16:44

This is the third time we've stayed here, and it is as good as ever. The staff are exceptional and the food is copious. The kitchen makes a real effort to cater for vegetarian guests (though at the end of a week we're getting a bit tired of the limited range). The restrictive firewall is also a nuisance, but given that the first time we came there was no wifi at all, I'm grateful for what there is. The hotel offers local Tyrolean hospitality and taste in its entertainment, and Gerti and Franz still run excellent walks programmes every weekday.

Lovely and cosy hotel, really close to snow

Lovely and cosy hotel, really close to snow for skiers (located in one place at the bottom of the pists and close also to the mountains for hiking. Spa/ wellness area, including a nice swimming pool. Wifi is included. Nice room size.

Wonderful hotel

We enjoyed this hotel from the moment we arrived ! We were greeted with warmth, comfort and generosity, and soon felt at home with the people and the place.

The hotel generously lent out maps, hiking equipped, bus cards and invitation to join guided mountain walking that found place almost every day. They also gave advice and helped us when we walked through beautiful landscape to another hotel where we stayed for a night, and they took care of our luggage while we were there.

This hotel is wonderful and can be warmly recommended. Here you can enjoy the nice people, the clean rooms, the spa, pool, sauna, gym, the delicious 4-5 course dinners, the terrace and the marvelous landscape .

Warm welcoming hotel

As a group of 11 hikers from Cork, Ireland, this was our first introduction to a snow walking holiday. One of our hikers had discovered this hotel on a previous summer trek and was so impressed, she has returned for 8th time.
We were curious to find out why she was so impressed, and were delighted to be won over. We stayed at hotel on 2nd week of March.
It was wonderful to receive an introductory welcome from Manager Franz and Gertel Waldhart. We were impressed with a program of events printed daily, and enjoyed partaking in these events, such as winter hiking tour, aqua gymnastics, Nordic Cruising, guided lantern walk, wine tasting, after dinner music.
We were grateful when Gertie brought us to the sunday Mass at the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, with its bulbous spire. Across perched on a hill was the beautiful miniature church of Annakirchl gleaming in the snow, which we had to return on another day snow walking to explore.
When we had free time we used ski lifts at Christlum and Rofan and explored the wonderful snowy arena, not forgetting to eat our apple strudel. We used opportunity of free bus pass to travel to Maurach and Pertisau. On our final day we enjoyed an excursion to Innsbruck. The food was a highlight of this hotel. Josef won us over each evening with his welcome in restaurant and explained the varied menu, and yes, the wine was wonderful !!
For us, the weather was perfect, sun shone most of the time, and still snow was on the ground. It snowed on the day we left. What a wonderful hotel.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

AlexZamfir on 05/01/2013 16:16

I've just got back from a one-week stay at this hotel. Horrible!! I was there with my family (wife and young boy) and some friends. They say it's a 4-star hotel, but it's a 3-star one, that is to be kind to them. For a late check-out in the last day (we were supposed to leave the room at 10am, we did it at 3pm) they charged us 208 euros!!!! I've been to a lot of 5-star hotels and I never got this treatment. And keep in mind that my boy is only 20 months year old, so it's pretty hard not to have a room for so many hours. And they were the ones that took care of our transfer to Munich Airport. And the transfer was 1 hour late, so we almost missed our flight.
If you want to do yourself a favor, never go there!
