Our flight arrived way before check-in time at 14.00. Had emailed the hotel beforehand to ask if there was anywhere we could leave our suitcases and they promptly replied that they could be left safely behind the reception and they would note the booking that we were arriving early. We arrived at 10.30 and the helpful guy behind reception said our room should be available in the next couple of hours and he would ring when it was ready. In less than 2 hours he rang and advised the room was ready so we returned and to our delight we were told that he could give us an upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment!! Apartment was amazing - overlooking Collins Street but the double glazing kept out any traffic noise. Excellent location right in the heart of the city. Would definitely recommend

The place is very nice and the apartment rooms are very comfy, great size and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent just 5min walk to Bourke St. Mall and all the other shops in the CBD.

I booked a studio room (but happily suspect I was upgraded) - ended up with a 1 bedroom apartment on 7th floor which was great. Well laid out, roomy, nice natural light and bit of a view.
As other reviews note , the Adara is in a great location, 2 min walk to Melbourne Town Hall, staff friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay here again - on the proviso of getting a room on one of the upper levels (my friend had a studio room on level 3 but this was a bit dark and depressing).

This was great for an over nighter - close to cbd and quick access to trams
Was quiet considering how close to everything it was and had everything u need Even a hair straightener in the room.
Tea and coffee facilities also good

Apartment was spacious and centrally located.
Lift gave good access.
Good kitchen space.
Desk staff very pleasant.
Beds Ok in 2-bedroom apartment with good storage for belongings.
Issues : overflowing water in shower alcove, inadequate cleaning with a lot of dust and filthy windows, no bed lights in one bedroom, lack of bins, dingy decor, carpets in need of replacement, sheet with holes. Get the picture ?
If you are not concerned with roughness around the edges and like the basics in plenty of space this is for you. But it’s a shame this gracious old complex is being let down in my view. It could be so much better with a true four star approach.
