This excellent location deserves a much better hotel than this!
What a great impression one gets when arriving. The environment close to the lake is wonderful with some restaurants in walking distance.
From the outside the building looks quite nice. As soon as you go in, that immersion quickly changes. Everything looks old and has clearly seen better day. Whatever renovations there were, were not done in thorough professional manner.
There is a parking garage but the access is cumbersome and the place itself quite dark and very dirty and dusty.
The elevators to the rooms are creaky and slow.
In the corridor the feeling of an old run down place continues.
Our room was the pinnacle of bad taste. The decoration must have been done by a blind designer playing cruel joke to the hotel owner.
The room was renovated not long ago but to a very low standard using cheap materials.
Cleanliness was doubtful at best.
As we were staying just for one night it was bearable, i would not want to stay there any longer.
Also just one look into the restaurant made our decision easy to eat somewhere else. Thank god we did not book the breakfast.
Given the general level of maintenance and cleanliness I did not feel inclined to try the spa.
I would not go back.

Lovely but tired hotel. Spa pools are amazing, lovely clean and warm. Great room with good view over the port and the lake. Good breakfast. Some of the communal areas weren't quite as clean and needed some repairs. Friendly helpful staff. Good sized garden adjoining the pool but would benefit from some high hedges to provide screening from adjacent buildings

We enjoyed the hotel and its location with a short stroll to the lake. The evening meal was the worse we have had on our trip with only another one earlier in the year beating it. The room was spacious with balcony, breakfast good and easy parking. We would go again but eat instead in the Port. Stunning scenery at the lake and we wished we could have stayed longer.

This hotel is in a very good location. A short walk to the lake, trails, water sports and restaurants. They have parking available. The breakfast was delicious and there was a good variety. We enjoyed our stay and especially the ability to take long walks along the lake shore.

The spa is really good. Spotless, roomsize is good, bed is good breakfast good. I am 6'5'' and a decent bed is always appreciated. Service personnel very kind and attentive. However I took off one star because the outsidse section of the spa was not clean enough: bird poo here and there on plastic loungers when a quick jetwash every morning would solve the issue. The other issue is while the room was perfectly clean and acceptable, the building definitely needs attention. Add a high hedge at the back and the front and the spa garden would look excellent.
