We had a one bedroom apartment and it was very clean & quiet. A few kitchen items needed to be added, like a frypan, dish washing cloth, champagne glasses etc however we only needed the room as an overnighter otherwise we would have asked reception to provide. On arrival the street entry to the apartments is a bit of a nightmare with no real parking access point especially whilst it was raining. Parking is for a fee of $25 as there is no street parking or car parks available in the entry. Staff were very friendly on reception and in the Restaurant. Would recommend you to dine at the Restaurant during your stay as you won't be disappointed.

We stayed one night at the Oakwood hotel to attend a concert in Fortitude Valley. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. There is valet parking on the weekend that you pay $25, this suited us fine as this is what we expect to pay in the city.
The room we stayed in was facing the traffic but I can’t say we were disturbed by the noise. The room itself was small but had a mini bar, kitchenette, study desk, queen bed and small table. The bathroom was spacious with shower over the bath.
We had a complimentary bottle of wine in the restaurant which was a nice touch. The restaurant food was very good.
It’s very easy to get around the city from the hotel, a taxis will pick you up from the front entrance.
I really could not complain about our stay at the Oakwood and would stay again.

We booked a “2 bedroom apartment” for two couples. Turns out it is more of s family room. Had 1 double bed and 2 singles and the second room was a mezzanine level with no doors. There was only one bathroom and it was in the other bedroom.
The service at the front desk was rude and unwelcoming.
The buffet breakfast was okay, but nothing spectacular.
The rooms were nice enough, clean but small, couldn’t close the door the the one bedroom cause the bed was too big.
Even though it was a two bedroom apartment they only gave us two towels so we had to ring for more.
It’s the little things that make a good stay.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. We wanted to be close to The Valley and wanted a room with a nice view so we booked at Oakwood. We were not disappointed! The room was spacious and had an amazing view of the bridge. It was also just about a 10 min walk to The Valley so it was so convenient. The aircon was a bit noisy but tolerable. The staff were also very nice, helpful and polite. Being able to book valet parking is also a plus! We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here as we had a wedding to attend in the city.
Be prepared to pay for a security deposit and $25 for parking. Hotel staff were nice, I did feel rushed even though I was the only one checking in. Room was right on the busy road but not super noisy. Bathroom was weathered but decent. Nice drenching shower head, best part. No bath mat so used a hand towel, and there were only 2 bath towels so I had to use my husbands to dry my hair. Iron in our room didn’t work so he wore crackled pants to the wedding. Pillows were hard as a rock and could kill someone in a pillow fight. Check out was an easy 2 step question. I wasn’t asked how my stay was and no smile. I might pay a little extra next time and stay somewhere else.
