What People are saying

Excellent in all respects

RogerPayne on 19/10/2017 05:51

Centrally located in historic downtown, underneath and with views to the Acropolis.
Well maintained small and friendly hotel, with ever cooperative and helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast on rooftop, with views to Acropolis, serving genuine freshly squeezed orange juice rather than the usual commercial drink.
Right in middle of shopping and restaurant area, and minutes walk only to main central metro station, if you want to easily explore further afield

Very good, but as all Plaka hotels a bit expensive

What we liked:
That the room maid obviously understood that we liked to have slow mornings, and never tried to get into the room till after we had left each day. That the people at the reception were very nice and helpful. The room had a fair size, The bed was good and so was the breakfast, which we had on the roof terrasse (fresh orange juice every morning). That the hotel is so well placed in Plaka, but still was very quiet (we stayed at the back, towards Acropolis). Short way to both metro and bus.
What we didn't like:
We had a room (305) towards Acropolis, beautiful view, but since there was no umbrella on the balcony we could only use it in the early morning, before we went to breakfast, and after sunset. That was a deep disappointment, and if I had known, I would have booked a room towards the street (even if it had meant more noise), because Athens was very hot, even in the last half of September.
Carpet on the floor.

Best location, clean and comfy rooms, new modern bathrooms, great breakfast.

Great location, shopping and good restaurants right outside, only minutes to walk to the subway. Delicious breakfast w/fresh orange juice and real coffee. Lovely terrace with great views. Newly renovated modern bathrooms. Lucia at the reception was most friendly and helpful. We could leave our luggage in the locker room until the evening. Eukaristo!!!

Great Location!

Room was efficient and bathrooms are excellent, especially when you are flying out the next day. Proximity to the Acropolis and shopping and restaurants was terrific as you could walk wherever you needed to go. Staff was friendly and provided all needs and the breakfast offered on the rooftop was good and sufficient for the morning. The visual of the Acropolis lighted up at dawn was incredible.

Nothing special apart from the location

Hippocleides on 06/10/2017 08:44

Our usual hotel was full so we booked this one. The location is its main selling point.
My biggest complaint is that guests are excluded from the roof garden at all times of the day except breakfast.
My request to sit out on the roof terrace during the day was met with a surly "it's not allowed."
Do not be beguiled by the publicity photos on the website especially the one that shows glasses of wine on the terrace. There is no bar and certainly no means of relaxing with views of the Acropolis.
There are are much better hotels in the area.
