We spent a very happy week here. The hotel dominates the bay with spectacular views of the beach, Aegilis town and the mountains beyond. Our spacious corner room had a secluded balcony. We could have done with more drawer space and a less-firm mattress. The bathroom was small with a shower over the bath, but was well-equipped with enough space or all our toiletries.
The breakfast choices were really impressive, including a whole table just dedicated to "greek-style breakfasts". There are freshly-squeezed juices and the hotel bakes its own breads and cakes. We ate dinner in the restaurant on 3 nights of our stay but, while the food was good, we felt the restaurant was harshly lit and lacking in ambience in the evening. We ate at the poolside cafe one evening - pizzas and a bottle of wine - and walked down to the beach and along to the town for drinks and dinner on the other 3 evenings. The hotel very obligingly offered to pick us up in the minibus, which takes guests to and from the ferries, when we had finished and they drove down for us as soon as we called them on all 3 evenings.
The hotel operates a beach bar/restaurant with sunbeds provided free of charge for guests. We enjoyed lunch there once following a dip in the sea, but the hotel pool was so nice, we mostly referred to stay there. There were plenty of sunbeds and shade around the pool, besides a good bar, cafe, showers and toilets, with low volume chill-out music. I used the hydro pool, sauna and hammam at the spa a couple of times, all very quiet and relaxing, and free of charge. Plenty of treatments were available, for a fee.
All in all, an excellent hotel with excellent staff.

Amazing location, exchellent hosts. A great place to relax and enjoy yourself with or without friends and family. Balconies have privacy and give you the feeling it's just you and the Big Blue.... trully the view is breath taking.

We came here for the 8th Annual Amorgos Tourism Film Festival. The owner of the hotel was personally involved in arranging field trips for us to experience the food, culture, and history of the island. She also provided wonderful entertainment for her guests each night. She is a very gracious host. We stayed longer to do some filming and she helped us find olive harvesters and local festivities that would be of interest to our film.
The hotel itself is very beautiful with spectacular views of the tranquil bay and neighboring community. The staff are friendly and helpful and professional. We enjoyed the clean and peaceful spa facilities, as well. The hamman had fresh eucalyptus leaves and essential oils. It was very relaxing!

I visited the hotel for business purpose for two days, I needed a conference room. When I visit such a place for such a purpose, its very important the way that they make you feel , while you are expecting some kind of quality and professionalism in such a simple service for a 5 star hotel. The staff were very kind and polite but the cooperation with the managers in order to arrange something really simple was poor. They left me without any water or food and when I called the waiter that came was not informed at all about what was happening there. Really paid a lot for a terrible service..

The staff at the Aegialis Hotel & Spa were incredibly helpful day and (literally) night. What a privilege to come to such an incredible island and be met with such joyous, helpful individuals. Shout out to Michaela for helping out group make the best of our stay!! Arta is also incredible!!!!! Love to them all!
