I enjoyed my stay at AES Apartments. Great staff. Very helpful. They will always go out of their way to ensure that the guest is comfy. Great pool area. Great lounge and a couple of good areas for meetings. The rooms are quite nice. Only issue is the bathroom. Strange and very tiny shower area. Felt more like a tiny closet. Once you escape from the tight shower area, everything else is fine. Pool area is excellent. Great suya. The fact that they have a real kitchen in a every room with microwave too, makes for a really good experience for extended stays.
Large refrigerator in the kitchen. Love it.
I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay here whenever I am in Abuja for business.

Went swimming last week Saturday with my kids, it's was my first visit to the hotel. A fairly large property with gardens and a decent sized swimming pool. What catches your attention immediately is its showing some signs of wear and tear. Not everywhere, but in the open spaces like the pool and poolside which could do with regular cleaning and maintenance. The suya or beef kebab on the other hand was quite good. Try it....

Everything is fine, the lobby, the room, the pillows stapled on the bed. But the breakfast in the restaurant looks tired and doesn't want to do this anymore, the doors won't close in the room, the toilet seat is like a loose tooth, just waiting to fall, the bed is talking to you when you turn around in bed and is hard like a board. The only thing that is what it looks like is the staff, friendly, hospitable, and would help you in any way they could. But they can't work miracles and the toilet seat remained a loose tooth.
And the bar must produce the mother of all noise with a decibel higher than 85 dB and must cause permanent hearing loss.

Got a warm welcome from the ever smiling staffs. Also got a jaw-dropping discount due to the Muslim holiday in addition to the regular 50% discount on weekends. My joy knew no bound. Its serene environment provides nature's beauty to behold.
The room I checked in (down floor) was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom/toilet is usually the first I always inspect when checking in. Let me say that its cleanliness was above average and ideal for me.
The different foods ordered during my stay were delicious though mainly local dishes. Barbecued tilapia fish was part of it, though won't recommend for anyone with stomach ulcer due to much pepper added to the spice.
I really enjoyed WiFi services due to excellent signal strength in the first room I checked into. But this was not the case when i moved into another room which was very close to the reception. The bed in the same room was bad and had to manage it since its only one night before leaving the hotel. I drew the attention of the receptionist to the bad bed before departing.
There is POS service for cashless payment as well as an ATM machine in the reception to meet cash needs.
However, I observed erratic power supply during my stay, though it doesn't take up one minute for power to be restored whenever it occurred.
The security system in the hotel is worth commending. Vehicular movements in and out of the hotel premises are subjected to screening/searching.
I really enjoyed my stay in AES. I'll visit again because when "music is nice, you play twice"

Very warm greeting and service on arrival and check-in. However, first night stayed on ground floor - the room was very dark. Ok for one night.
Bar is by pool and was Ok. The restaurant is very dark, but service very friendly - however couldbe a little quicker (45mins frtor a club sandwich - I was only person in resto)..Thjis was okay as football on tv screens (-;
Second visit two days later - room was much better on first floor, staff welcoming and very pleased with speed of room service.
Two points to note for new travellers to area: you need cash, this is not a hotel where you can sign to room (cash machine available - accepted my second card) and you are close to the airport but not the city i.e. you need transport to get into the city.
