Kogilavani Mon 02/11/2017 08:01This is my forth visit to A Famosa. This round i can see a lot of improvements in our accomodation arrangments. D Savoy Apartment with 2 rooms at level 12 in Tower Two is simply awesome. we gets golf field view which gives beautiful greener view from balcony.
The apartment is very clean, dining chairs are very new and comfortable. my husband gets excited after he find out our room had smart TV. so we mirror some movies from mobile phone to watch at night. Basically we had a very comfortable stay there.
The main reason we choose Afamosa this year is because of Halloween theme. Even though it is not so scary, but it is fun. To give kids some new experience we used their shuttle service to old west.
All the staff there are very helpful and friendly. Most of them greet us Happy Deepavali.
Only minor complain that i have is on the lift. the lift door shuts fast eventough people are still coming in and we were holding door open button. it can be little dangerous for kids. Another lift were under maintenance and only one lift works well. however this were just a minor issue for us.
Thumbs up and thanks to whole A Famosa team to make our trip pleasant.

Pros:
Staff are exceptionally lovely and accomodating.
Clean hallways and room.
Comfortable bed.
Bathroom has a bath and a separate shower!
Plenty of soft lighting.
Balcony views are fantastic! (Room 305 in the hotel)
Shuttle available to take you to the Freeport next door, and it's always on time.
Truly excellent room service. Best chicken lababdar I've ever had, courtesy of the Golfer's Terrace restaurant. I still dream of that meal sometimes. . .
Cons:
Difficult to communicate with operator via the phone. (Her voice was so low and her English wasn't quite strong)
Note: the hotel doesn't offer iron/ironing board. Instead, there's an ironing room behind the lift. It's not a big deal, it just came as a surprise
Cheap and cozy Apartment
Ong Hon 20/10/2017 11:01My friends and I booked the apartment with water theme park ticket with only RM89 per person. It is considered very cheap. It also included a buffet breakfast! Wow!!! The apartment is big and clean. The air con is very cold. The view from balcony is very panoramic too.
Take note of different 'handler'

A month prior to the holiday text received to confirm booking and upfront payment requested (where Booking.com normally won't do that) Made me realize that booking done under same 'umbrella' might be handled differently. I called up A famosa and found out that those units belong to different individuals/B&B owner. The quality of stay can be vastly different, from hygiene/keeping of property/breakfast etc.
We cancelled the initial booking and booked under A famosa official website. At least quality of stay, I would say, not disappointing. Breakfast up to par.
Great Condo
FarHana3117on 10/10/2017 03:31We booked Condo D'Savoy (studio Style). Praise to God our Room was up to expectation. We stay at Tower 2 Level 7 on last Saturday. Maybe it's not school Holiday so there's not much of guests around. We have requested a room with a nice view and we got exactly what we've requested. Our room facing the golf View and We loved waking up watching the greenery view which was too calm and tranquility. The room was spacious enough to fit us 3 persons.
The breakfast spread was good. Only is that, when I pass the meal voucher to the person standing at the counter, He has no greetings. No warm welcome for guests.As a hotelier, Its a must to greet guest with warm welcome as it is a requirement for standard service. I think he's a Manager since he wore a shirt with a tie and a black pants. A good Manager must show good service to his employees. He should change his attitude.
Next to the club house is the swimming pool. No life guard on duty so parents should supervise their children 24 hours. The pool is open from 7am to 7pm. Inside the changing room there's a sauna room but I think it is out of order.
