Super Lakeside Hotel near Pretoria.
stradz2202on 20/11/2017 12:14This hotel was the first on an escorted tour of South Africa. After a long flight to JoBurg and enjoyable onward coach journey via Voortrekker Monument and Pretoria city centre we finally arrived at this super lakeside hotel. Everything was perfect- the setting, sunset, the room and ensuite facilities, dinner and breakfast. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Sunday Lunch
Jorian13on 19/11/2017 12:31Spent Sunday at the lodge for lunch which was beautifully presented at the lakeside area with excellent service. Beautiful environment with lots of wild birds. The reception area and all the rooms and facilities are very large, quiet with balconies that look onto the lakeside. The lodge can be highly recommended for local and overseas visitors.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in
BJCDublin_Irelandon 12/11/2017 10:51I spent a weekend at African Pride Irene between end of my work, and start of my holiday, waiting for my wife to arrive on the Tuesday. It just goes to show it is not rocket science to run a good hotel, but this was an absolute pleasure. First the staff at reception- its hard to keep smiling all the time- special mention for Mpho and Elisabeth- always helpful and kind. The rooms are beautiful-very large, quiet with a lovely balcony to sit out in the evening. And simple things- an iron (only hotel I got one one out of the ten I stayed in), sockets for both South African and european plugs, really comfortable beds, top class. The breakfast was also superb with a great range of fresh food.
Also the lakeside area is a lovely place to sit and have a drink-small quibble, the staff in this area are a bit slow on service.
Pool and spa area lovely and a nice gym, with sauna and steam room.
I had lunch at Irene Farm across the road on one day- the hotel have a key to let you in and out -lovely and fun place to walk. Played golf at Irene Golf Club- complimentary golf for guests in the hotel! At that small club the service and welcome was also so nice.
Probably overall one of the best hotel experiences I have had in any country.
The best "Oasis"
Ulf Bon 11/11/2017 20:55After a long flight and a hot and stressed day in Jo'burg and Soweto it was like a dream to arriv here. a bit mixup by check in but was quickly fixed. A good massage on the spa and a relax in sauna and pool. (Pool might need more clean water).
Then a very good buffet dinner was just what needed. In spide of hotel had 3 Groups the service was good. Too bad that we only shall stay one night.
I can higly recommend this Place and do not miss the bird life around the little lake.
