Never been to this Costa, so not sure how it, and our accommodation, would be. It was a lovely resort, not touristy, so needed our basic Spanish!! We had a lovely apartment with sea view balcony,(which we had booked), room got cleaned every day and the maids were lovely, beds were very comfortable and always loads of hot water. Air conditioning was a blessing and a must, as temps for 1st week in June were in top 20's, lovely!! The rooftop pool is small but we had it to ourselves most of our weeks stay, so lucky us. Down sides, little in the way of crockery and cutlery, no kettle, but we just put water in the mugs and microwaved to boiling for our coffee. Reception did offer a coffee making machine but we just stuck with instant! After buying our 1st bottle of wine, we discovered it required a cork screw. Guess what, none in apartment, omg what to do!!! Luckily for us the rooms are being refurbished, so a quick chat with the worker got it opened, but it was vile so after all that effort got poured away! That led us to discovering individual cocktails (in foil packaging) in the supermarket, which is round back of apartments, very handy. Our biggest shock came when, on coming back earlier than usual one night, decided to have a night-cap in their bar/café, and were charged 16 euros for 2 gins and tonics, I was so shocked and even gave the guy a 2 euro tip OMG!!! I suggest you avoid drinking in it. The beach is pebbly and grainy sand, promenade is fab. Would defo recommend the apartments and hope to return.
Also great tapas bar round the corner, La Concha, family run place, so friendly and helpful.
Bus stops are right outside and quick trip into Almeria, which has loads of eateries and historical buildings.

I stayed in this hotel from 30 Dec to 3rd of Jan 17. The hotel is nice and clean, there are 2 rooms: the first with a small kitchen, table and a sofa-bed and tv, the other with king size bed, a wardrobe and then the bathroom.
The only negative comment is that during my stay the weather was not so warm and the floor was almost frosting and there was no any carpet!
Moreover our room was on the main street and then quite noisy.

Had a 4 night stay here and was glad to leave
Did not appreciate being woken at 5/6/7 with the bin men/delivery men/street cleaners making a huge mount of noise
The whole place needs a revamp the pool is almost a joke as is the "gym" 1 piece of dodgy equipment
People are helpful and pleasant
Breakfast is very very basic , the underground car park is not worth 9 euros per day so get a place on the street
Good location as is near the beach and some good eateries
Ok if you are on a real tight budget but otherwise look elsewhere

During the past 2 days we spent time in Aguadulce we were blessed to find a place for fraction of the price and have outstanding hospitality the cafe and its staff were all so good at their jobs they were busy but we never had to wait as everyone is so well organised. The reception manager Pedro was outstanding and went beyond his line of duty to help from the day we arrived. All I have to say is this place is a rare diamond and should not be missed we are a family of 4 and we had enough space in the room and we loved it.
We recommend to anyone and everyone 5 star service

Clean but very very basic. No kettle no toaster no cork screw or bottle opener no hair dryer. Wont come again. The whole place needs updating. The swimming pool the size of a large bath with no chairs or sunbeds.
