Centrally located between the Centro Storico and the Lake. Secure parking just a round the corner.
Modern, stylish bedroom - bathroom ok, but a bit tired and in need of updating. Large balcony with table and chairs overlooking the old town. Reasonable breakfast choice. Wifi connection very erratic everywhere. Overall, good value.

The hotel is practically in the middle of town but we had a big room at the back and all was quiet. The staff were outstanding and couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant was adequate but not brilliant. However, with fabulous eateries within 2 minutes walk, that didn't matter. A small problem was the handheld shower, which I find difficult to use but there was good water pressure and plenty of it.

I have visited Bolsena many times over 37 years ( originally camping) and this year I took a party of friends. I booked five rooms for seven nights.
Experience very good.
Great location for town and lake within walking distance. Easy to get to attractions, including South Tuscany.
Rooms more than adequate and staff most hospitable.
Optional breakfast - although predictable after a few days. Very reasonably priced.

Our family stayed for the first time at the Platani in July.We had seen some negative reports before,but we can only assume those people only stayed for 1 or 2 nights.We stayed for17 nights and got to know the hotel and we found it fantastic.Stephania Mauro and their family and staff make your holiday special.The standard is high in both food and accommodation for a 3 star hotel and its position opposite the main square gives you great access to the town.Fantastic!!!

Location is perfect. Close to Lake. Plane tree alley is leading toward it. Calm and elegant street. Old town proximity is another quality. Very good for outdoor activities. Parking is free. Breakfast is optional.
